Hi Joe, so I'm finding that this commission calculator does not really work in the real world. For example, if commission rates are the result of your YTD sales, and we use your example, then we have to consider that Joe, made a 0% commission from sales up to 75k then he entered a 1% commission bracket from 75k to- 149k and so on. Joe does not earn any commission until he hits 75k at which he would make 1% on 149k-75k then 3% on 249,999 -150k. We would also have to consider if commission rates reset based on monthly targets or yearly targets. A working calculator would have to consider these factors and the excel formulas would get much more complex.

How would you do: $10,000 at 10.5% and any dollar amount over 10,000 is doubled at 21%? For example: if someone booked $14,000, $10,000 of it is commissioned at 10.5% and $4000 at 21%
