Thanks for showing the follow up on this car. I had a Google... "The primary function of the peugeot bpga unit is to monitor the battery's status continuously, safeguarding it against overcharging and deep discharging."
Surely you would be questioning your diagnosis (RAC) after fitting two batteries ??? And looking further ? Thanks for the follow up repair Jimmy ........... where would they be without you ? Cheers.
Had the same issue on my 2016 Citroen C4. Apart from the whole unit has to be exchanged, this was nice and easy swap out on this older Pug. Mine had an electrical circuit fault message and battery drain. Mechanical relay in the BPGA had failed and wasn't shutting off the power off once ignition was off.
Had to search for O'Rileys Autos to watch your video. I'm subscribed for ages but for some reason I don't get your notifications anymore 😕 🤔 😕 Very annoying from TH-cam 😒 🙄 This started happening since the funeral of your dad may he rest in peace. Still enjoy your videos as they are very interesting, entertaining, informative and educational with some humour at times. Great workmanship thanks for sharing this awesome video 👍 👌 💪❤💯
I have recently fitted a new battery but my semiautomatic 3008 (2012)does not start. It just makes clicking noise. Suggesting starting a motor issue. I had to jump start the car and it works and runs fine. The battery does not hold the charge even though its new battery. Is it same issue you recommend? Do you know anyone in .aylesbury/london can repair this
Welocme home, Jimmy!! WHY, are they using expensive electronic gizzmos when we used to have the good old solinoid? RUBBISH, parts'! BUT, Jimmy, to the rescue, AGAIN!
Are you sure the batt connection to the bpga is correct? It should be connected to the far left terminal. The current termination will drain the battery fast. Well.. thats my guess anyway..😅

Yeah, by permanently disconnecting it from the car! 😂
I did the same!
Funny that older cars didn't really need these gadgets, and they still ran and started just fine.
Best mechanic about by far! Not just a part replacer!
he's great!!
Love watching your videos.
Glad you like them!
Thanks Jimmy have a great week 👌
Thank you too
@@ORileysAutos thanks Jimmy 👌
Great video Jimmy. Do these systems need the battery registering to the ecu?

As always brilliant Jimmy. So informative. Keep up the great work.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result 😂

Nice one Jimmy, give her a fiver each scrap for the batteries, we'll worth it as a back up battery 🔋 👍
She's said she'll keep them as spares 🤣
Wish I had known about this earlier I had replace total unit
I have a 2010 3008 , charging at 14.9 v is this to high , ? Can the BPGA cause over no charging ?
The more unnecessary parts manufacturers fit the more things to go wrong.

They love to over engineer things

Get they batteries straight on the van 😂
I wish 🤞 but what a waste... she has 3 new batteries sitting in the hallway
3 AGM batteries 🤯
RAC! shocking. He'll make cash on the battery sales too. At least them batteries are a common fit so will be sellable.
Should have bought a Skoda.
I hope you took them off her hand for a £20 as she won’t need them ha ha.
