It's easy way to diagnose failure Hynix memories. Use command floorsweep in MODS and check independly every channel. Don't need to change straps from Hynix to Samsung. Memory config tables are almost the same for both memories. Why don,t You use preheater?
what wrong with the hynix memory's?, why not replace only the bad one? or it does gives pass on mats/mods test like the the early microns on 2000 series cards?
I am working on an upgrade like this on an RTX 3060Ti. Currently, there are some hiccups that I am trying to resolve. I will release a video once I fix it. 😁
You can either replace it with a K4Z80325BC-HC16 or with a K4Z80325BC-HC14. Don't use the HC12 one. It's slow. HC16 would be like an upgrade having scope for over clocking by 500Mhz to 1000Mhz in MSI after burner depending on the VRM phases for memory. On smaller cards with just 2 phases with HC16 can be over clocked by 500Mhz with no issues and with cards with 3 or more phases for memory can be over clocked up to 800Mhz to 1000Mhz without any issues. I will be releasing a video on this soon. The 3060Ti memory upgrade.
@@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql I can't wait to see that video. So, is HC16 better, and will it run normally without overclocking? I have a graphics card with SK Hynix X005 and it has a problem where the VGA frequently shuts down unpredictably. Whether I use it for gaming or leave it idle, the VGA shuts down suddenly while the PC continues running. Usually, I switch the HDMI cable to the IGPU and the PC runs normally. There are no signs of overheating or artifacts, FurMark and 3DMark tests show no issues unless the VGA shuts down suddenly. There seems to be something unique: if my PC is not used for a while, around 1 to 3 days, when I turn it on, the VGA can run for more than 3 hours. However, once it shuts down suddenly and is turned on again, the VGA only lasts until the Windows login screen. I have tried DDU with no change, and using a different VGA works fine with no issues. Could this be a sign of a problem with the VRAM on the SK Hynix X005?
Yes this is a typical X005 issue. Swapping to Samsung should solve the issue. HC16 is basically 16Gbps memory it is faster compared to HC14 which is 14Gbps memory speed. By default since the BIOS recognises only with strap only in the 14Gbps setup the default speed will be 14Gbps but it has more room to overclock. Unlike the HC14 which will peak with a 500Mhz overclock HC16 can go beyond. On a 4 phase memory VRM it can go up to 2000Mhz overclock on MSI afterburner. Now that is some real speed boost. However on a 2 phase I have noticed artifacts after 1000Mhz. Still this is a good hike in speed. Hope this helps. Even if there are only 2 phases for memory, the MOSFET/DRMOS can be upgraded to a higher Amps rating . Like most 3060Ti come with 50A MOSFETs or DRMOS these can be upgraded to something like 80A to get some added power.
@@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql Thank you for the detailed explanation. I hope it will resolve the issue I'm experiencing. I look forward to the video on the upgrade. Thanks a lot.
I have already tried to upgrade it to 16 but it's not working. The only way to get 16GB is to use a 3070 PCB. But that makes it impractical. I have a bandwidth upgrade coming up for the GPU
Great job, can't wait for the memory upgrade videos. Thanks for the videos

Thank you my friend. I will try this command. I have a preheater being used. The blue mat you see is a preheater.
It looks like so easy... Nice job!
Thank you 😁
Does 3070 ventus X3 you can memory upgrade for gaming?
I'm working on it.
Awesome awesome brother huge fan of your work🎉
Thank you so much 😀

Its a similar case like early micron. The X005 memory of Hynix is defective. it passes in mats but gives error code 43 and crashes in windows.😁
@@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql ohhh I see, good to know, thank you.
Why is Unigine Heaven corrupted at the end showing the benchmarks? Is it the capture and it was ok on screen or something else?
You mean 3d like effect thing? Yes I have to change settings to default.
Is it possible to swap memory on the 3060 Ti with bigger chips? ie go from 8GB total to 12GB total RAM on the GPU...

Waiting for your video bro@@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
can you upgrade those 2060 cards from 6gb to 12gb or even 16gb?
Memory can only be doubled. I have not tested upgrades on 2060.
I want to 100% send you my 3060ti for a upgrade, but this shipping UGH!!! Lol
Thanks or this great vid, always learning and thanks for having the join option, just joined now

Nice job, Frazer!

Ho capito unica soluzione è mettere gddr6 più veloci
Nice work sir :)

The SK hynix H56G32CS4DX005 VRAM is best replaced with which Samsung VRAM: K4Z80325BC-HC16, K4Z80325BC-HC14, or K4Z80325BC-HC12?
