Praise God. I have been trying to prepare jollof for my family. I had been using the same recipe for a number of times and decided to move on to another person's recipe. My siblings watch you, so, I decided to check out your jollof stew base video your "King Kong" jollof video. By the grace of God, the jollof turned out great. It was 100% delicious. My family and I are still eating your jollof. My mother also said she watched your meatballs video. She prepared the meatballs stew and by the grace of God, it turned to be great. That was her first time preparing meatballs stew for us. It was one of the best stews I had ever tasted. I thank God for showing your video to me. I recommend subscribing to Mama Betty and trying out her recipes. May God bless everyone and save them.
I can see you are well educated but you use our local language for everyone to get the understanding well.l love it. And the environment and the cooking untencils are always neat.
Thanks mum, very nice cooking classes you've provided. Clean environment, politely speaking and clearly translating it into English at the bottom. I know how to cook jollof rice already and my family loves it but, I don't usually add herbs in mine but, I have just learned something new from you and I love it to the sky and back. Thank you very much Mama, I am ready to learn new way to cook from you not forgetting the flavors😋 too. God bless you.
Mama Betty, Nigerian Sis here. I don't understand any of the Ghana languages, but I was so impressed by your video quality, beautiful scenery, cooking style and subtitles, that I had to immediately subscribe. Good job, ma'am!
Mama Betty been enjoying your videos. I must try this recipe. Sisters from afar, must agree with you all, I speak no Ghana Nija, barely speaks Yoruba. My husband is from Nigeria, but I do understand her videos and many others. I must admit as well, I have tasted the best food in the world when I came to Nigeria. I can’t get enough. Nigerian’s has American women bet with cooking and I’m a cook myself. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 5 thumbs up.
Hi Mama Betty. I just stumbled on your video accidentally and took a chance to watch it since I'm learning to cook jollof rice. I was taught by a Nigerian friend how to cook two dishes and this made me want to learn more. I love how simple you make it to cook jollof rice and even freeze the stew. I just subscribed and I plan to watch your videos to learn more of your dishes. Thank you so very much for them. You make it so simple and easy. I pray you continue to make videos so I can learn from you.🙏💜🤗🇹🇹🇱🇷
Hello just chanced on your channel when I was looking for recipe for grilling tilapia. I love how you make me feel comfortable and confident. I am a subscriber now cant wait to learn more from you Mama Betty.
Hi Mama Betty, I am African American female. My lovely sister friend from Ghana introduced me to Jollof rice and I love, love, love it (and other African dishes she has cooked). I watched your video, (thank you for the subtitles) and my mouth watered as I could almost smell all the ingredients cooking together. It was a beautiful sight! I am subscribing to your channel to learn how to cook the African dishes, and just so I can imagine the aroma as you cook, LOL! I will absolutely try to make this. Thank you, also, for the health tips, and your garden is a pleasant and relaxing backdrop to make your videos. I enjoyed watching and was able to follow your recipe even though I could only understand the words you said in English. Thank you Mama Betty!
Mama Betty, this is one of the best jollof base sauces I've made so far, and it is very versatile, I even use it for my stews now. The herbs takes the stew to another level, the flavours are just out of this world. Thanks and God bless.❤❤👍👍
Beautiful back drop! I will definitely try your recipe. Just an aside, black southern Americans have been making a red rice dish for centuries and i am sure it's African influenced. Usually tomato paste, hot sauce, onions, sweet bell peppers and sometime bacon. I don't see that dish out even hear if it anymore but i keep up the tradition (minus the bacon).
Ante Betty thank u so much fr this my husband really loved it and he asked me of my secret and I said original betty and he said what’s that it a secret 😂🤣😂😂😂
Is the shrimp cube something that you prefer or is it okay to use chicken cube when adding chicken or beef when making beef jollof? Thanks for this awesome video
