There is a theory by @Judgment boy that claims chara is not evil or even the villian of the game, and instead the true antagonist isthe player them self when they do the genocide run. Chara follows and watches the player throughout the game; they are one describing the world to you (the dialoge inthe black boxes when interacting in world).They look to the player's actions in order to make sense of why they are alive again, whether for power by destruction or mercy. But after seeing the end of Deltarune i wonder whether 1. kris is being possessed by chara 2.Kris is the the person who pulled out their own soul because they didnt want to be controlled by the player any more. 3.or gaster the one is pulling the strings. Ps. I really love your art. The lighting and undertones are just perfect! Your technique is very inspiring to a beginner at digital art like myself.

During the Genocide run, the player presumably convinces Chara that killing everyone is the way to go. By gaining LV, Chara is able to distance themself from their actions and becomes more willing and able to harm others (sans says this in his monologue during the pacifist run). By the end of the route Chara is so impassive that they attack Asgore and brutally kill Flowey (and they don't hesitate, they actually go pretty hard in ripping him to shreds). Chara is like Flowey in a way. Asriel and Flowey are the same person but Flowey is an impassive and sadistic person while Asriel is really sweet and friendly. Chara in the Pacifist is friendly and sarcastic, while in Genocide they are malevolent and ruthless. Chara wasn't a bad person but at the end of the Genocide run you, the Player, have twisted and corrupted them into something that is no longer human.
I noticed that you were using FireAlpaca. I was wondering since it looks like you know what you are doing on there, can you give some pointers and tips?
@@_luna.b_8938 For shading i imagine where the light source is and go off that. i use a color i think would work well with the color palette and set the layer to 'multiply', then adjust the opacity until it looks soft enough
