- In this video I am presenting something a little different. It is a short product review of Jointed Rail Coal Country route with a session of a full tour of the coal country route, operating in TRAINZ TRS2019 Train Simulator.
I will cover a couple of issues with TRS2019 and Coal Country.

Hi Colin, I appreciate the review and thanks for the purchase! I created Coal Country (and Eagle River) and what you've observed in TS19 annoys me too. I havn't actually made the move across yet so I was quite disappointed N3V went ahead and said the route was TS19 compatible just because it has no faulty assets. The trees, grass and environmental settings are all wrong in my opinion... If it was up to me I would have done a complete revamp to take advantage of TS19 and release it for free for those that already have the route. Very frustrating as I take pride in the routes I create and to me this presents poorly.
Funny enough that you made this video as I was thinking of purchasing Coal Country and have been considering for the past few days. I think I will buy this now that I know, from another person, that the route looks pretty decent. I'm looking forward to your tutorial on portal constructions as well

I bought my copy from JR and can modify for my use. The first thing I did was replace the billboard trees with McGuire's.
A good move . . that will make a huge difference . . . . . . . . . Can you tell me about McGuire's trees . . . or a link?
Where do you find the queen post bridge with coal country for T:ANE
I am disappointed that Coal Country does not translate to TRS2019 as well as I expected . . . do you have a different experience ?

How do you make a MYTRAINZ Account? I can never seem to log in no matter what kind of Username & Password I Use
What software do you use to make your videos? Great video
I use OBS to record activities, and Davinci Resolve to edit it with various utilities and LUTS for special effects.

My computer would probably die from the specs of this game.
I loved this route in T:ANE, but when I upgraded to 2019, the trees were swapped for speedtrees, making the route laggy and much worse looking. Do I have to re-buy it in 2019 version?
If you have speedtrees I suspect that is the TRS19 version. Those trees do put more load on the Graphics card due to being animated.
@@colinstrains5885 Yes. And yes, I know, I just wish there was a way to revert the trees to billboards because they both worked better and looked better to me (despite being flat).
