this was such a good tutorial. ukulele playing can get so boring so quickly, but your little tricks here and there made it so quirky and fun and honestly it sounds so much better than just normal strumming with chords. loved this tutorial! instead of doing DDUD for Am and Em, I did DDUDU as I found it more natural. I loved that you mentioned that the strumming pattern is kinda up for interpretation
hi jaida! your tutorial, voice, and playing are all amazing! :) i have zero music knowledge so i do have a question - what do the little symbols at the bottom of the chart mean at 3:46? i'm assuming it differentiates up-strum & down-strum but i can't tell which is which. thank you in advance!
Hi! The symbols just show whether the note is an eighth note or quarter note. When it is just a straight stick that means a quarter note, and the ones with the stick and sideways line is an eighth note.
