    The thing I love about kz is the clear or tinted shells they use. You get to see the internals and it's just a whole different visual experience seeing the things that make sound, and especially with this one, the planar driver just looks amazing.

    The world needs a comparison video of this and the new HBB collar PR2. The scuttlebutt is that the PR2 is just a differently tuned PR1 - basically just the 4th iteration of the same iem where they just keep correcting for the previous version's weaknesses. Drivers are the same gen 1 KZ planars, not the gen 2 used in the PR1 Pro.

    Wow, I almost forgot you have a TH-cam channel 😂 Yeah, I think it started with AS16Pro but tbh I hate it with adaptor so good thing they don't discontinued the normal version after they released the Hi-Imp edition. I think AS16Pro is the most correct KZ BA set. Many people who stick with KZ are people who like their sound but AS16Pro is the most correct KZ sound that I am looking for (for now). It's hard to put in words because of my lack English vocabulary lol.

    Totally agree with you. These are addictive as heck. I also own a pair of Moondrop Starfields which, while they sound amazing too in their own category, I usually find myself coming back to my PR1 PROs. I am in risk of becoming an evangelist of these IEMs as I have been telling everyone to get a pair. Long life to KZ.. Great review, man. Cheerio

    • @DanielMelendrezPhD
      @DanielMelendrezPhD ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@providence889 I am no reviewer and I talk from my personal experience and perception. The K1 Pros feel more airy, more dynamic and I'd say they have more freedom. Audiophiles might say more "analytical". Meanwhile, the Starfields seem to "follow the rules by the book". It's hard to describe it but there is a sense of slight more refinement in them. The bass is very dynamic in the K1's without being overpowered. With proper isolation, the Starfields' bass will emerge. I love them both but those planars are a joy for jazz and instrumental music abd granted that I mainly listen to those genre, I keep coming back to them. I hope I conveyed a clear description of both

    • @providence889

    I have 4 KZ IEMs. My most expensive is the KZ ZSX and my cheapest is the ZS3. The one that broke is the ZSX because of using them while lying down on the pillow. I think it's because of those plastic connector to attach the cables. They are weak when they are given pressure while just lying down on a pillow. I did not use it for sleep so I did not put a lot of weight on it. The ZSX sounds great but just don't use them lying down on a pillow. The connection slots to attach the cables will break after a few uses when put a little pressure on it lying down on pillow.

    finally someone talked about the tuning. i bought kz zsn pro recently and honestly i dont want to keep them. highs are very high, lows are acceptable, responce is flat but for some reason i think they doesn't sound natural. i tried to tune by builtin equalizer in preamp app and have acceptable success but still sound feels unnatural. iam still using my old earphones and thinking to buy the same ones if i could find. iam looking for natural balanced earphones or simply buy the oldones.

    Which is more linear, balanced sounding? I need to hear all frequencies, without too much bass in order to not cover other frequencies. It has to sounds clear without eq.

    I'm glad to hear KZ are making an effort now. I love the Zex Pro despite the issues and claims people have against them with fake drivers and such, for some reason they just sound nice and fit great. If I was to buy another KZ IEM what would you recommend now? The AS16 Pro? PR1 Pro? I'm unsure what to buy, KZ has never been a company to clearly outline what each IEM is good at and to have distinct tuning either. Kind of pot luck buying blind. So any help would be nice.

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a tough answer. The timbre on PR1pro is a little grainy for the first 100hrs but it gets a lot smoother with burn-in.
      Resolution on the PR1pro is superior to zs10pro but you might not like the tuning. They're a bit treble heavy and not very bass heavy.
      Tonality is going to be better on the ZS10pro but they're also a little more V-shaped.
      If you want a fun bassy signature go fo the Zs10 pro.
      If you want Resolution and a more neutral/Treble bright signature go for the planar.
      Also ZAR is another good one to look at.
      The bass quality is great and the treble is pretty well resolving but they're a little dark which I like. They're very v shaped so it might be too much for you but just another one to look at.

      Nice, I personally haven't heard the ZS10 but I do know they are a fan favorite. The KZ planar is a definite good buy for the price as long as you can stand the intense treble and planar timbre. They're not harsh sounding but the treble is sharp and the timbre is dry. They are the most detailed/resolving listen you can get for the money though.

    I don't know, maybe I got defective Panda, but after KZ PR1hi-fi it was difficult to listen to them - because of problems in the mid-bass. On many tracks, especially where there was a bass guitar, an unrealistic resonance / rumble began, which clogged all the lower mids. I liked Panda treble (quantitatively and qualitatively), the mids were sometimes aggressive - I liked the middle of KZ more on classical music (although it sounds more detached), but this buzz on Panda mid-bass spoiled everything. And yet - Panda sound is more like a dynamic than a planar - it had less technicality and musical involvement.

    tinhifi p1 max considered one of the best planars by many people (most balanced one). If this one sound better than p1 max...ooooh man
    p.s. if you'll look at dioko's FR graph - it's trash compared to these because mid and high mids are jagged more than kz pr1, high frequencies on dioko's graph also look like shit/
    p.p.s. if you will equalize these using Equalizer APO and many many filters, and listening tone generator you will take away all small dips and peaks (it takes a little bit of experience to do that but it's possible)- you will have one of the best IEM. Probably it will also remove this "planar feel" or grainess from the sound. But you will have to do it using your ears, prepared EQ presets from wavelet or any source will not help/

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      P1MAX is indeed very balanced but also considered a little boring, the PR1pro is like the complete opposite, they're extremely energetic and the treble is intense. If you can stand the hot upper treble and dry planar timbre you should like them. P1MAX is much smoother and softer in it's presentation.

    Good review! Must I buy them when already on KZ AS16 pro?
    Peace
    (Yes I smoke weed)

    I wouldn’t doubt due to the shape and type of material used for the planar over time it would get less tactile sounding due to the diaphragm moving as well as help the decay

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah makes sense, although it would probably take a couple months. I could imagine them having better decay in warm climates vs cold climates.

    Hi bro, Thanks for your opinion ad describe us your experience. Do you believe that these Kz Pr1 Pro are better than Kz Zs10 Pro X?

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi, thanks for the comment. They are not necessarily better but they are very very different.
      First, the pr1pro has lots of planar timbre and requires burn-in for best replay.
      Second the bass amount is not typical KZ bass, it is lighter.
      Third the treble is loud and intense.
      zs10 pro x will probably sound smoother and tuned better, PR1 pro will have more detail and resolution, better imaging and faster more detailed bass.
      Pr1pro required an amp for best performance.
      Zs10proX will not need amp for best listening.
      Pr1pro will be more technical but less natural sounding.
      Zs10proX will be less technical but more natural sounding.

      I haven't heard ZS10 pro x unfortunately. But I can tell you a planar compared to DD/ba is going to sound way different. Pr1/2 will be a little more gritty/planar sounding while the pro x will be smoother and more natural sounding.

    I don't understand all those positive reviews. Bought them, but I'm going to return them. The sound is hardly better than my old wired Apple earphones of 20 euros. Sometimes Apple is even better. I often find these KZ too high, too silvery. Maybe they are also not suitable for classical music. Apple earphones suddenly sound much warmer. And I really find in-ear really terrible: pressing feeling in my ears, gives a lot of (skin)irritation. Apple earphones are a breath of fresh air in comparison.

    Which model do you recommend for live music in-ear monitoring? (Gospel band)
    Which is more linear, balanced sounding? I need to hear all frequencies, without too much bass in order to not cover other frequencies. It has to sounds clear without eq.
    The sounding to not be fatique at mid-high frequency. Power handling is also important, and clarity at high volume.
    Thank you very much!
