Sorry but based on other teams price point and the fact that for years Alt kept saying this is "imposable to do" while not working with comcast in good faith as seen from an outsider pov, this is horrible value. Please don't spit in our faces and then say its raining. Stop carrying water for Alt. This should have been done years ago and not cost this much.
Billionaires just doing billionaire stuff. They are making money at every angle, and when they have an opportunity to let the fans watch the games instead of giving a low cost plan they gouge. Hope altitude+ is a huge failure
$20 a month is an absolute terrible value. I don't care about anything else altitude does. Just give me the avs. If the other 20 games aren't available to stream then they don't matter either. I was really hopeful, but I should have known better. Altitude was the worst thing for fans, and the trend continues. Nobody was willing to pay this kind of uncharge to Comcast for altitude, so hopefully they don't pay this either. No wonder they couldn't get a deal done. Another year of not watching live games it seems
@wyattmays7341 if it was league wide, with no blackouts I could do 10 a month, but yeah huge W for stars fans. The teams make money on deals, sponsors, advertising literally everywhere, gambling, ticket sales, in arena purchases, merch, and now they want to overcharge for streaming? I know shit costs money, but altitude for 20 a month is garbage for what they provide. 40 games...I'd not go higher than 5 a month
Still don't understand the finances here. Altitude makes money on advertising, would expect they'd rake it in on cable. $20/month is way too much, watching on a damned PHONE? I suppose if I were Chris or Kyle, this would be an easily absorbable business expense - without a second thought. Cable, internet and phone are already quite a stress on the budget. We're not asking for free. Premium-shmeemium, advertising pays for it. [Edit: extra-cranky remark removed]
Id pay 5 a month for avs only, 10 for league wide. Idk if victory+ being free will work long term, but it's a better way to grow the league than to price everyone out at 20
Supposed to be available on smart TV's "soon". I agree not having that ready at launch isn't ideal. But the price point is pretty much in line with what many teams throughout the league are offering. It just comes down to if u feel it offers that cost in value or not.
I'm wondering if it will be available to people outside of their "market". Like myself where I live in Louisiana, and the nearest teams are Dallas and Nashville. While I have ESPN+ and can watch the majority of the games, when the Avs play the Stars it is blacked out. Mind you I am over 6 hours away, like you can convince me to go to see the AV's whoop your team's ass on a decision, "oh they play tonight, let's go!" nah, that takes planning a more than the cost of a ticket, even though we were there when Manson ko'd Benn lol. Anyways, I hope this solves the issue being blacked out.
Blackouts are a league wide thing and aren't going anywhere soon. Maybe something to negotiate in the next CBA. Everyone hates them, they are archaic and not a reflection of how people want to consume content today. The quicker they go away the better.
So, I'm out of market and pay for ESPN+/Disney. Will I still get all those games that are not nationally televised ESPN/TNT/ABC? Or do I now need to pay for Altitude+ now? Just wanting clarification.
I always joke that I can finally afford to watch sports because of how much it cost to follow a team like the avalanche LOL. I will gladly take this in lieu of paying $100 a month for fubo to literally watch one thing😊
It costs as much as services that offer hundreds of shows or movies. There are 1 or 2 draws here depending on interests. Avs, nuggets, or both. Rest doesn't matter, and that is why they can't get deals done with comcast. 240 a year for what they are offering is great for them, and bad for us. Give me an option for $82 per year for avs regular season with no blackouts, all 82 games. Or for ever restricted game drop the price by $1 per game. This shit won't be ad free, and they are charging beyond premium pricing
Can you clear something up for us? There will be 20 games over the air locally, but will those games be available for people in Wyoming and Montana and Idaho and Nebraska and New Mexico that don't get a locally broadcast over the air channel? If we subtract those 20 games from this streaming service, and subtract the ESPN and TNT games, are we looking at about 45 games for 20 dollars per month, and maybe one round of playoffs?
U can't narrow it down to just Avalanche games though since the service will offer more than that. If u want to look at it as that's all u will watch and is it therefore worth it, that's reasonable. But Altitude can't price it based on what an individual will watch
St Louis is much closer than Utah imo. Central top 3 are the same as last year with nashville and Winnipeg in the 3/4 spot. St louis maybe gets in rather than the kings/knights in the pacific
Dallas and Anaheim did it right with victory +…..I guess it’s better than nothing but $120 for a year seems a little steep when you only get about 40 games.
@@LockedOnAvalanche I have it and the quality is top notch. I’m really impressed w the quality. My only complaint would be that you can’t skip through the ads when watching a game the next day on playback but considering it’s free, it’s hard to complain about that.
What happened to making money through advertizing, merch, and tickiting for a very talented team? Feels like the fans are paying for bad business decisions while Kronke's is lining his pockets.
You couldn’t be more wrong. Altitude is clearly scrambling to put together an over priced app that should have been available sooner. I guarantee that when the app launches it will be riddled with bugs and issues. So you’re going to pay more than any other hockey streaming app for something that will more than likely give you fits throughout half the seasons. Get serious. Maybe give those glasses a scrub Micieli.
It's not the most expensive hockey app. MSG+ costs $30 a month, and there are others that cost more too. A simple Google search would have spared u the time to write all that out. What happens if it launches and everything is fine? I don't assume u would return here and admit so.
$20 a month!!! I'm not pay that to see Val disappoint us again.
Die hard avs fan here but I will not pay $20 a month to watch them.

Half the games will be available on basic TV for free, that's pretty awesome. Honestly doubt I'll spend the $20 a month
This is going to drive fans away
Shaggy rockin' the man of steel do.

That’s why I want victory plus to take off league wide, as a stars fan I can watch all of my games for free
Agreed. F the part of Altitude that's not Avs
$7-10 a game is bad value?
@@kyranrausch458 I don’t have to pay to watch my team play

$20 for the whole season and playoffs would of been good not one month ,$20 for just one team if u want the others k cost more but yea , one month meh
In contrast, Utah will be broadcasting preseason games and 75 regular season games for 70 bucks... as opposed to 20 bucks a month for the Avs.

Altitude lookin to make it big on the Avs 😂🎉🎉🎉

Sounds like maybe they'll have 60 games available on the streaming platform, so those fans in those states can still watch? Just not OTA.

They could just put this on a website, but they continue to limit themselves...

ESPN+ is good enough plus they show La Liga and Bundesliga.
BUF making the playoffs! New captain, new/old lovable coach, minus Skinner, Byram full season in contract year.
What is the app called?? I live in Oregon. I would love to get it for my Avs.
Unfortunately, the app will only work in the Avalanche broadcasting region. you would need to use a VPN to get it to work in Oregon.
Or you can just use ESPN+ with no vpn since it’s out of market and you get to watch the altitude feed.
LOL I can pay 80$ and get iptv for whole year which includes all games from every sport, all mma and boxing PPV’s and 20k ch’s
Then keep doing that
Altitude+

Sweet. How's it goin' fellas?
Stars are better team and are free and every single game! Time to switch! Just don't move here!
wish you could pick either the Avs or nuggets for like $10 a month.. Will NEVER watch a Nuggets game!
That would be a great option
Fubo TV sucks button 👇
shaggy von doom ? shaggy von strange me thinks lol
We really don’t care about your opinion, don’t watch the channel!
