I thought it was just me having problem to get the FT-70 to sit in the desktop charger even when charging a spare battery only. Overall though an excellent value radio for the money
I have the charger cradle too. It looks different to yours. Mine has "Yaesu 70D" embossed on the back, above the point where the charger cable is plugged in. Maybe yours isn't an official version, mate?
Well unless radio world the second biggest supplier of yaesu products in the UK are shipping counterfeit products I doubt that very much, this charger has been around for a few years, its far more likely they have tweaked it as they have gone along.

Your suggesting my charger is fake and I'm simply telling you that I doubt that's the case because I got it from a trusted well known vendor, in a proper box, besides why are you so concerned anyway? Others like radiosifcation have found this charger base to be garbage as well, it's utterly useless.

The FT 60 also is difficult to get in the desktop charger.
I've not got a desktop charger for mine but yes I'm not surprised, it's not their speciality so it seems.
