The "startling" transformation mentioned were self-inflicted, due to the hatred for his own mutation. And he had a few moments where he became more beastial in nature. Also there was a whole storyline about being replaced by an evil doppelganger. (Though, i admit that's not as important as trying to get rid of your own mutation) Thanks for mentioning that
If and when Marvel does the X-men .I hope they CGI Beast for a proper introduction . Like Deadpool did with Colossus .
