Just used this video to refill my Samsung C1810w...worked like a charmed!! Even bought the same Ebay kit. It works! Thanks for saving me over $300 because each print cartridge now runs $91 each.
For just changing the chip without chopping the thing to bits. On the side with the chip: 1) Undo the spring. Put your finger over it so you don't launch it and detach one side. I used an awl with 90 bend at the tip. 2) Unscrew the 2 screws on that side 3) There is a tab by the chip the holds the end cap piece on, depress that with a small screwdriver 4) Gently pull the end cap off. You will dump a small line of toner on your work surface at this point and the metal rod pulled out of the fuser is greased so don't touch it. 5) Remove the old chip noting orientation 6) Insert new chip in same orientation. Might sort of snapped into place. 7) Replace the end cap by aligning the tab and the clear plastic rod on the bottom into its hole and the end cap should slide back on. 8) Replace the screws 9) Attach on side on the spring, place your finger over the spring and using the awl I stretched and re-attached it. That's it, good luck
Hi will it work for a Samsung Xpress C410W? It looks just like your printer only there isn't a round big button that you press up down side to side to select commands with.
@3:25 "its pretty much empty".... lol.. its not!! =D But I guess it surely is uneven at least, so it appears empty or close to it when you print? Really nice video! Much info gathered, thanks for sharing the video! =)
The only way to reset the low toner reminder is to replace the chip. You can refill it however number of times before the reminder comes on. But once it comes on, you need to replace the chip.
hi, if i understand correctly, the chips tell the printer the toner is empty.... eventhough it is not ! so there is no need to fill the tones half way to full again, because it still is going to say it is empty right ?
Thanks a lot. This will cut my toner costs down to 1/4 of the original and 1/2 of what they sell unoriginal in my country. I see that there is a lot of powder left in the original. You also mention that if the refill toner runs out before the chip you can just fill up with powder. But would it not be possible to first only change the chip.. use/empty the original powder, then switch to the refill powder ?? My experience is also to shake the toners some times after it says it is empty. There is always a lot more pages left in the cartridge :) Best regards T.R
muy interesante el video, quisiera consultarte yo tengo una impresora otra version ocupo toner CTL503L sera el mismo proceso :O?? desde ya muchas gracias.
Can the black be replaced only? We don’t use the other colours. We keep getting an error print out. What’s that for? Ive noticed the wifi connection is incorrect
WTF there was a shitload of blue toner still left inside...someone needs to come up with a laser printer with awesome quality, and LOW toner prices. When I say low i mean under $30 each color with 2500 page yields at least.
are there differences in chips for new toners and the ones that come with the printer (because they are only half full) . > does the chip 'calculate' it is a free tones that comes with the printer , and therefor sooner registeres it is empy (even though it is not!) ?
Oh wait, i found it, finally : www.ebay.com/itm/HP-3600-3600dn-3600n-Four-Color-Toner-Refill-Kit-with-Hole-Making-Tool-and-Chips-/251321394513?hash=item3a83ec2551%3Ag%3A9S4AAMXQlbVSDuoH I googled it instead of using ebay searching tool.
Seems like a lot of old toner powder fell out of the cyan cartridge when you emptied it. Is it really unusable? Thanks for the video. I had been feeling lately about replacement ink and toner cartridge manufacturers as I do about cable providers and big cell phone carriers... Greedy crooks with overpriced products! This toner alternative, however, seems pretty reasonable for roughly $17/cartridge & replacement chips.
+A.J. Schulz There were lots of toner left in the cartridge but the bad thing about the Samsung is once the chip registers the cartridge as 'empty', it cannot continue to be used. So you have no choice but to replace. Alternatively you could have just replaced the chip and continue using it, but you won't know how much toner is left until you dump it out. Also the Samsung refills are the most expensive I have seen. I have done refills on HP, Brother, Canon, and most of them are half the cost. I recommend the HP color laser.
Just so everyone knows, if you just replace the chip it will continue to print until you do really run out of ink. After that you can add toner. Use it until the chip says you are out again... Then just change the chip again..
You threw a load of old toner away!! These chips tell you it's empty when you really have hundreds of pages still left in the cartridge.Personally I would have re-used it .

+Lakeshia Hankins Very good to hear. Thanks for sharing!
91.00 is cheap. How many pages do the cartridges yield.
Thanks for your informative video. Please continue to inform me, I love you. I will subscribe to you,
Is there REALLY a reason to remove the old toner?

hi, thx for the video, can you fill the cartridge now without buying new chips every time, and only buying the toner?
@3:25 "its pretty much empty".... lol.. its not!! =D

Hi there, it was very useful and interesting video tutorial video. Thnx. Please put the link of solder iron to buy that tips
More toner came out then went in. You had a lot of toner left. Why don't you just shake the toner back and forth and you can get more pages?
I just got mine refilled. Works GREAT!. My question is, when I run out again, can I refill it again? Do I need a new chip also?
The only way to reset the low toner reminder is to replace the chip. You can refill it however number of times before the reminder comes on. But once it comes on, you need to replace the chip.
Gotcha, Thanks.
Will the stick on chips work forever or do you need to replace them at some point?
Hi I like to know if you have a refill kit for Samsung c1860fw thanks

For the cyan, I don't think you put in more than you shook out. :-))
is the ship replacement is mandatory? because i overwrite the cartridge when it was almost empty

And that it should not LIE WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH INK

Hi, thx for this great video !
Where do you get the specific soldering iron tip for the plastic hole, plz ? i don't know how to find it on ebay :(
Search laser printer refill kit.
I found nothing on ebay.com about the tip with "laser printer refill kit" key words.
But never mind =)

Please make video of refill of HP colour leaserjet 181 printer
when refilling a REILLED CARTRIDGE, will you be removing the "refill chip" or do you stick another on top?
For this printer you can just stick the new chip on top.
+dial2fast What happens once the toner is empty? Can the chip be used again?
+Marc Solèr If the toner runs out first before the chip, then you can refill the toner and continue using.
Do you know how to replace the transfer belt?

Do i need to nuy new chips evry time i refill or only once?
You need to refill when the chip tells the printer there is no more toner. At which point you have to replace the chip anyways
dial2fast re there chips that automaticly reset?
dial2fast what If we want to refill again?
how do you replace a clutch on the Samsung printer?
Just so everyone knows, if you just replace the chip it will continue to print until you do really run out of ink. After that you can add toner. Use it until the chip says you are out again... Then just change the chip again..
What happens if you fail to change the new tip
You threw a load of old toner away!! These chips tell you it's empty when you really have hundreds of pages still left in the cartridge.Personally I would have re-used it .
why do you need new chip? thx
So that the printer thinks it’s a new toner or else the printer will still say low ink
Why do u need to replace the chip?
We just got our new Samsung printer the same model you have try switching from a Epson printer
I'm getting color lines in my prints, how can I fix this?
You have a damaged cartridge roller.
@@DanBurgaud so just replaced my ink cartridges?
so, I don't need to empty the old toner if It's from sama manufacturer ??!
+Gougoulina 20 Yes, if it's same toner powder, don't need to remove.
Why did you remove old toner?
You do not want to mix old toner with new toner because of the different manufacturers formula
dial2fast tnx
Still a lot old blue toner powder , samething with the inkjet printers they sell you a whole cartridge but you can use only half .
I ordered some refills with new chips and the chips where incompatible. Be aware with chinese products!
Gezz! ..... I just want to print a doc or two...not become a printer/ toner technician!!!
Why not? Smarter everyday.
Go to a library or stationary for printing cheap
es una porqueria suena mal imprime mal patina las hojas
Why not just leave the old toner in and top-off with the refill toner and replace the chip?
Seems like a big waste of toner!
+Car Fulch Because the aftermarket toner will be of different manufacturer. If you mix them two, the print quality may be poor.
