Prophetic comment... He is Top 11 as of April 4, 2022. Surely will be within the Top 10 by the end of his next tournament, which should be Monte Carlo. Impressive that 3.5 years ago he was already using his dropshot strategy just as regularly as today. No wonder it's so effective.
@@TheSportsPROgram I hope so, but his slump in Monte Carlo when it got windy, and again a deep slump in the second set for the Barcelona first round, shows Alcaraz power game, which depends on sending balls near the lines consistently, can catch him out when conditions are difficult, at least so far in the clay. With more experience he should be able to not lose a set or a match while adapting. And I also hope Carlos will further diversify his already very complete game to help with that. Credit to his opponents too, of course, as most of the younger generation are playing at really high levels, consistency being perhaps their main weakness. In any case, it will be a very interesting journey over the next several years!
