That Air Asia in your vid flight had to be cancelled last week due to the typhoon and when flights resumed, they had 2 flights back to back show up here. I could watch this vid over and over and over again! Can’t wait for the A380 to begin flights here
Oh and N758AN was just here yesterday again after its turn from DFW! It’s just amazing to me that back in the day, all we had were 74’s and trijets flying in to here because of the restrictions. Now seeing the 738’s and 9’s fly in here along with N758AN, JAL and HAL all using twin jets is fascinating!
I think Honalulu international should have flights to more countries like vietman Thailand United arab Emirates Qatar and india those are in asia and Hawaii is in asia(kinda) so it would make sence to fly there
The reason why all overseas flights are to Asia and Oceania is becuse Europe the middle East and Africa are to far but in the 1970s Austrian airlines had flights to vienna and western airlines had flights to london from honalulu
There are aircraft that could make a Journey from Honolulu to some parts of Africa or the middle east. Look at the flight between Singapore (SIN)and New York (EWR) (west to east) for 17 plus hours or 9,500 miles. I believe this route was flown with an A340-500 years ago even before the recent A350-900ULR. The distance between Hawaii and Dubai is 8700 miles west to east so it is possible. Maybe demand is low for African and Middle Eastern travelers to go to Hawaii, when I visited there were American and mostly Asian visitors.
It’s so strange looking back and seeing all the airport activity pre-covid!
Hopefully pre-covid levels return!
