I agree i appreciated his analytic work avoiding cliche and stereotypes and trying to tie the dots of how egypt was transformed from the beautiful ancient egypt to the decay and backwardness of islam, you don't see this kind of analysis anymore.

First time i watched this video i found him vague and over indulging making up his own story and tangents with a typical british" i know better, i have no doubts", and he looks so gaellic. Second time i found him more interesting, maybe understanding better what the pivots in his analysis is, i appreciated his analysis that civilization went through a crisis when symbols disappeared and austerity and existentialism replaced the happy looking and sane egyptian hieroglyphs and drawings. All the egyptian drawings depict people who have no anxiety or hate or any negative energy. Then the persians came, then the greeks, then the romans, then the arabs and the ottomans. I agree with him that there is nothing left of ancient egypt in egypt today except the pyramids.

Then i thought reality is so arbitrary and relative, it's all a combination of self confidence, persuasion and bullshit. EVERYTHING THAT HAS A BEGINNING HAS AN END. ONE DAY STRANGERS WILL DIG THE REMAINS OF US FROM UNDER THE GROUND. LIFE WILL GO ON UNTILL THE NEXT TIME, WHAT IS IT WE HAVEN'T LEARNED FROM THIS. IF WE DON'T HAVE A RECORD OR HISTORY TO LEARN FROM WE KEEP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES AS THE REST THAT HAVE FALLEN INTO OBLIVION. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED TODAY. LIFE IS THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS. WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER. NEVER GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO SAY NO. Just my opinion.

I've been down in those catacombs in Alexandria; the biggest difference between them and the "real" Egyptian megalithic architecture is the acoustical quality. The older structures are literally resonance chambers, while the Greek copies are sonic dead zones.

The myth that slaves built the pyramids predates Hollywood and Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 epic by a few millennia - to about the 3rd century BCE with the writing of the Book of Exodus. That myth was championed by the British, French and German amateurs up into the 20th century.

Where are you getting this conclusion that rulers in Egypt were less concerned about their power? Most of Egyptian stone work depicts the Pharaoh conquering some foreign enemy or other. Also, throughout the Middle Ages in Europe the towns folk took part in the spiritual tradition of society and in the construction of local Cathedrals while worshipping under an established priesthood. But no historian says European kings and bishops were not that interested in enforcing their power. And life was difficult and short-lived for the ordinary person at that time. How can we not tell the same would be true for the ordinary Egyptian? The narrator's view seems rather simplistic.

    • @logike77
      @logike77 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

What "people"? A few sensational television documentaries found on TH-cam are not going to tell me what the consensus among experts is. Michael Woods is a single historian hired by the Egyptian Tourism Authority, an agency that has an interest in making large sums of money by making Ancient Egypt sound wonderful to travelers. So of course I'm skeptical of the picture he paints. What is the actual consensus of Egyptologists--experts NOT working for the tourism industry--about the realistic working conditions of peasants in Ancient Egypt? I've also read and seen plenty of contrary information, that the pharaohs were very much interested in maintaining and wielding their power. Again, the numerous reliefs, artwork, and the sheer grandiose size of their temple complexes and pyramids strongly suggests, as kings, they were very much interested in conveying that impression to their subjects and their foreign enemies.

At 15:00, when he says that at the point when the Pyramids were built, they didn't use slave labor to build them, it reminds of a show that was on the History channel some years ago with Egyptologist Professor Zawaas I think his nane is, i think they were at the Great Pyramid of Khufu and he kept having an argument with this younger student with him who kept saying that they were built by Hebrew slaves! the more he kept saying that, you could tell Zawass was getting more and more aggravated, he's an old man who's probably forgotten more than this young punk thinks he knows, he finally had to kind settle this guy down, he was an Egyptology student and wanna be archeologist but he was under this mistaken impression that the Pyramids were built during the Moses Exodus period, around 1250-1300 BC, kept really believed and wanted to make his point except he's about a good 1200 years off!! he was like, and he was steaming at this point "Listen, you idiot! apparently you don't know know your history very well for trying to be an archeologist, so let me explain something. very important to you, The Pyramids were not built by Hebrew slaves, because there WAS NO HEBREWS YET!! they were built 500 years before Abraham was BORN!!" Professor Zawass knows his history, especially Egypt, no wet-behind-ears kid gonna try to give him a lesson on it!!

To walk through this world and taste the flavors of the varied Cultures with out bureaucratic controls, without any pre fostered prejudices by the MS News Medias of the World, particularly the Western World. Thus, it all being more apparent now than anytime that I've studied in history, with the exception of WWI, WWII - the propaganda by no means was limited to Hitler, and I consider 9/11 and the Aggression against Iraq - "in this era/time"
I can reflect on it over the decades - 60's to present. Clearly it was not nearly as Overt, as thick, *as lower minded*, yet it remained constant.
The Journalists, Anchors, and Investigative Reports definitely far more ethical - genuine - and waging their energies towards ensuring content accuracy and non biased in the delivery.
No, that came *when 24 hr MS News PROGRAMMING was sold to the Global Elite, and notably, *when we are absent of War, Tragedy, and/or Political Returns - they therapy their Drama Patrol and Creative + Persusaive Writers and hide behind Commentaries* - the greater public having no clue that commentaries are nothing more than Anchor Editorials - i.e., *Opinions and Productions for Advertising Profits.*
Don't ya just feel the desire to break free from the forced pressuring of elite's will, the laws that make for a no genuine freedom, the Judgemental arrogance, and the Adolescent Emotional Development Level setting the norm for the general public, and like a choir "they sing on que, reacting exactly as predicted - filling in the gaps for mediocre expectations, and adjusted down to appreciate the holidays as they all toil to *pay the IRS Tax Fund* - originally designed only for Corporations costs to the Communities, and guaranteed through the Bond of each individual's BIRTH CERTIFICATE, a Legal Tender Document with a corresponding # that receives attention daily on the NYSE.

I went in there in 2013 and the place just creeped me out. The distinct feeling I got was that this thing is OLD, very old. Much older than 5,500 years but more like 10x that. I purposely felt the whole inside of the "sarcophagus" all the way to the edges and corners and it's perfectly polished all the way into the corners. Looking inside you don't get that much because they keep it pretty dark in there.
The most interesting theory I've heard regarding the "sarcophagus" in the King's Chamber of TGP is that the inside dimensions are EXACTLY the same dimensions as the Ark of the Covenant where that thing could fit inside perfectly, even taking into account he carrying poles on either side.
The remaining question would be: how the hell do you get the Ark of the Covenant inside the King's Chamber? It's not like you could easily have 4 guys do this, in fact it's physically impossible. The entrance we have today was made by Al-Mamoun who busted in there in the 9th century looking for treasure. That entrance is of a normal height and goes for maybe 5 meters where you enter the ascending passage on the left. This passage is only about 1 x 1 meter and is steeply inclined going up. You reach the Grand Gallery which is 8 meters high, then you AGAIN have to get down into a 1 x 1 meter shaft, which briefly opens up to a normal height when you AGAIN have to get down to enter the King's Chamber. If that thing was made of Gold like it say in the Bible, I can't see 4 guys carrying it while in a crouched position like that.
We don't really know what TGP was for but we do know that the shape of that particular pyramid exerts a detectable, albeit small influence on living things and models of it will work no matter what material they're made of EXCEPT aluminium! That's what they discovered in the early 90s at the Ukrainian Academy of Science, a Dr. Krasnogolovets.
So now I'm thinking: if the effect works no matter what it's made of EXCEPT aluminium, and chemtrails contain aluminium, what, pray tell are the "aluminati" trying to do? BTW I have done my own experiments using a large 60 cm cardboard model of TGP and I observed that it changes the rotational inertia of a gyroscope by about 0.10% - 0.15% where a hard drive platter assembly will spin for that much longer inside vs. outside the pyramid. The biological effects on seed germination I've also observed but didn't bother quantifying because after the gyroscope experiments, I was convinced the effect was real.

The kings were later moved. Most of their mummies were found in a hidden tomb in 1871. Theres also a good doc on an unusual mummy call 'unknown mummy E, which got thrown in with these others. Due to tomb raiders even during pharaonic times. Thats where they found Ramsees & others.

That tends to happen when the richest man in the world makes the largest building in the world his tomb. Pyramids aren't exactly hard to notice, which makes them an easy target for grave robbers. If you knew anything about ancient Egypt you'd know that. That's why Egypt's spiritual leaders built the Valley of the Kings in the first place; To hide the bodies of pharaohs because grave robbers were raiding tombs and stealing not just valuables, but the mummies themselves. For Christ's sake, it's called the kings chamber, and it has a sarcophagus in it.

George Mason yeah... sure... but the “sarcophagus” is obviously made with power tools and it’s true purpose is obviously not for a dead body. The pyramids resonate, each pyramid resonates a different tune... it’s a giant musical instrument. Obviously. (People just want to believe in bullshit)

When one stops watching Ancient Aliens and actually researches what we actually do know it fills you with a much more fulfilling sense of wonderment than that goofy show ever could... because we DID build these buildings... we DO know MUCH more than they claim we do on that show. Yes... the goofy show lied. There was no fact checking, and they flat out make some things up. We know quite a bit. Just do the research. Don’t take Ancient Aliens word. Find out what real Egyptologists know.

20-40 ton stones that had to be laid at a rate of one every 4 min. for 25 years. Stones that were moved 500 miles too, Yea, right. There are granite stones that have actually grown together, and the seams are no longer there. A process that would take a minimum of 70,00 years. Nope, the Egyptians found them, and carved on them, but didn't have anything to do with the building of them.

But the pyramids were built at a great cost! When the 1st pyramid was built, it symbolised power & wealth. All around were hard hit by famine, as they were unprepared! Egypt need lits of timber & wood for the construction of more pyramids. Its a work in progress for hundreds of years, as each Pharoah is trying to build bigger than the last. As more & more trees are fell, the deserts expand at a fast & furious rate, as the famine were inflicting heavy toll on its people, possibly along the Nile from Etiophia! Food for wood! At all cost for the Pyramid!
