Earl, I appreciate the feedback. I agree, I don't mind my stimulators to be a bit loud especially when they act as an indicator pattern. Thanks for checking it out.
Two of my favorite patterns a Stimulator and Madam X. Going to have to tie some of these. I bought my first Stimulators from Lance Kaufman back in 1983. I live in the East, but was living in OR transitioning to helicopters. I found that if I tied them in all black, in a 14 or 16 they will work for the little black stone fly hatches we have in late Feb and March. Change the color to pale yellow and cream hackle same size and it works when yellow sallies are about. No fly box is complete with out few of these.
