At events, boulders will always be my go to. My cards are too expensive to risk damage. I take 1 boulder put it in my mini camera bag (which always has dice and trackers) and everything is waterproof, cushioned, and easy to carry! Alcoves are too bulky and can spill cards if dropped. Better for casual at home games imho
I can understand that. Another commenter did note that Ultimate Guard recently came out with a Boulder n Tray. So we might get the best of both worlds!
Great points on upgrading your deck boxes to a more convenient setup. I've been going through the same situation recently. Boulders are the "homes" of my decks, but when running out to the lgs I've been leaning towards my 160+ twin flip n tray. Having one box for two modern decks plus dice and tokens, rather than three separate containers has made scooping up and moving tables a breeze. As always loving your content!

I work at a school, and decided to get jumpstart packs to teach my kids how to play magic. I ended up using the dragonshield card packs and a box from the kamigawa set bundle. The box fits 12 jumpstart packs double sleeved (without lands). It worked out okay, I think I'm going to use the little box that comes with the set bundle box for a land bank, and have only like 8 or so jumpstart packs inside for playing. Enough for a few pickup games or some tutorials so I can teach people how to play

Agreed I love this idea and concept iv been usen boulders and my fat pack box to hold my pauper commander in a Boulder and then have room for my 60 card pauper and mini dice and what not so i just grab My go to box and pick up anther spare set so have an alternative commander and 2 additional decks so can harass everyone at the shop to play pauper:D I am eventually going to convert everything over into the professors deck box!!!!! I use your satin tower draft kit idea and stuck my land station inside aswell it fits in inside nicely and again going to upgrade that into a professor deck box when get them :D
When I first saw the Prof's box, I wasn't sure I would be able to use it. But with this recent development it might end up being one of my regular boxes.
@@beyondthedeckbox the draft kit was the koolest idea ever and right before prerelease you came in clutch!!!!! me and my buddy both built the satin tower idea the day you drop the video and now I'm worken on my jumpstart battle box!!!!! I love your knick knacks videos and ideas for youv got!!! Iv got 2 cubes (1 pauper 360 and 1 dnd set cube 540...plan on doing a commander set cube with the new dnd set) going now wondering your thoughts on cube and iv got all the mini games from draft packs and plan on building a cube just for the mini games :D

That is awesome! I think that's a great idea for the bundle box! Perfect size for it.
Have you seen the new Boulder'n'Tray? It's a Boulder with a small compartment for dice, like a satin tower

I have a few Ultimate Guard Monoliths, but they got discontinued a couple of years ago. I'll have to check one of these out!
I totally agree! Lugging a bag (or case) full of Boulders gets -*heavy*! I have a BCW X4 XL game box that's super handy for going smaller events.
