I hope you continue to do more KDM. Your series of KDM mini painting really influenced my decision to start painting minis! I was so blown away by your guides they gave me confidence to try thank you!
Currently 12:43 AM in Sydney. Literally just about to go to sleep; saw Sorastro notification... "Should I...??"; then I noticed the title: *Clicks Play+ Like Thanks man for giving us more KDM!!!
Sorastro you've won my heart in TH-cam painting tutorials. I've loved kingdom death for a long time and you've inspired me to begin learning how to paint my miniatures. I cant wait to see how you approach the Watcher if you make a tutorial for it. You're incredibly talented man.
Thanks a lot for the videos! I'm a total beginner and the KDM miniatures are my first experience! I've learned so much from you and painted all of the miniatures following your kind and detailed guidance. I can't wait to see the gold smoke knight one! I hope that the video is soonish coming out! Please! lol
Have watched your kingdom death guides mutliple times find them incredibly atmospheric and inspiring even if I know I'll never be able to replicate completely - this looks like another great entry! Really looking forward to 1.6 finally shipping and being able to follow along with the actual models rather than attempting to apply the lessons to other models (with mixed levels of success!)
It's been a while since you've painted any of the Kingdom Death stuff (and also a while since I watched your vids... I am embarrassingly behind) but I forgot quite how off his rocker Poots is :D Excellent video, cracking NMM as always and great, vibrant colours. Gotta love the Scale 75 stuff for saturation and matt finish. Might have to get some soon
Ha ha, yeh.. I started painting it last year, but wasn't happy with how it was going, so I stopped filming. I'll return to make some changes, and share the finished piece with my final colour choices however.. 🙂
Hey Sorastro, again great work! I've got a question, maybe you can help me out here: I've bought some brushes from Rosemary & Co, from their new "Red Dot" line. Yesterday I've used them for the first time, and I'm a bit disappointed cause they don't have a nice tip like the ones you use but when painting their tip kind of bends to one side, almost like a hook. Did I do something wrong with it, any idea? Can I fix that somehow?
Hey - thanks a lot Sascha! I've had a quick try of the "Red Dot" brushes, and I also found that they just don't hold their point the way the Series 8 do. I'm not sure there's much that can be done either tbh. At least they're cheap, so I I'll be using mine for applying shades etc.. :)
You are a big inspiration when i started painting. i Would love to see you pick up Warhammer/Warhammer 40k figurines to paint. Ive started to paint Necrons.
Thanks a lot! I grew up painting and playing 40K but it's not really my thing these days. Having said that, I'll be painting a 40K mini for charity some time next year.. :)
I'm just beginning to dip my toe into the ocean of NMM painting, and I have to admit--while intimidating due to your skill level, your videos are still most inspirational in the end, for me. Those colors are amazing! What is it about Scale 75 paints you like?
Thanks a lot mate! I guess I'm just really drawn to the colours of the Scalecolor line, and I also love the matte finish - especially for things like fabric etc. :)
This is amazing !! This is the best painting of this miniature I've seen on youtube "Hand"s down... Well, my joke sucked compared to this painting haha
Please can you finish off the core box? I’m waiting as I don’t want to paint my minis and then you do a different better style I want to follow. Please do more
Hello Sorastro, I paint all my characters based on your role models. Of course not in the super quality, but that is also difficult to do. I wanted to know which other Kingdom Death monsters you will paint or if there is a possibility to see the missing monsters ?! Regards Flo
Hi Lyndon! Honestly, not much really as I don't like to put my main content behind a paywall so that they can be as helpful to as many people as possible. What perks there are include things like Discord access, early access to the videos, voting on what I paint next, some behind-scenes stuff etc.. :)
For my part, I don't support him on patreon to gain access to more stuff but only to encourage him to keep going ! His videos are the best ones on the internet for all range of painters IMO. I wouldn't be painting if Sorastro wouldnt have done his Imperial Assault series. So, it's also a way to thank him for everything he's done for me and everyone else who is too scared to mess up their miniatures :D

Thank you Matthew! That makes me very happy to hear 😀
Same here.
I absolutely second this
Sorastro IS THE reason I started to paint my KDM miniatures, perfect guidance and inspiration, love his interpretation of color!
Thanks so much Joshua - I really do appreciate that 😀
Watching Sorastro always makes me want to get my brushes out!!
Thanks Thomas! :)

Please pass on my apologies to your wallet! :)
@@Sorastro no regrets! Just keep the minis coming! Your the only painter I like for KDM.

keep them coming
Only 27 minutes! The quickest so far for KDM miniatures :)

I’m struggling with the cape, please could you talk to me about your process for thinking the scale colour paints?
Hi David! Sure.. what did want to know? 🙂
Thanks!
This is awesome! Is there a chance that you will do tutorials for Ankh: Gods of Egypt? 😊
