The ending of the manga is quite different: After the match, Kagami doesn't return to America, everyone just go back to their respective schools and practice for the next tournament. Though I don't dislike the changes in the movie, and scenes of Kagami's past is anime original too, helping fleshing out his character more.
no they didnt end with the airplane scene because the plan was to put it in the movie. but you can see an airplane in the final pages which referencing this
There was actually a collaboration between the NBA and the creator. There is official art of the GOM in the nba jerseys of the teams they made it to. For example Kise went to GSW

I loved all your reactions as the story of Kuroko was moving forward and now to end the movie. Great, how wonderful memories this brought me 🤩🤩🤩😁. I really cry with this movie and now that I see it and remember everything beautiful that meant even more
I think the NBA did a collab with Kuroko No Basket, you get to see every generation of miracles with their NBA Jersey, see who would've pick each one of them.

- story begin with new players for all teams and seirin's sophomore(furi and company) balling through with seniors as bench supporting and kuroko just playing few minutes as trump card
- kise complete control of perfect copy and complete packing of kaijo
- midorima playing pf giving way more skillset and play styles with shutoku
- aomine practice more unpredictable passes as touo improve more ball rotation for easy baskets
- murasakibara beating everyone in the post and yosen primary shooting team composition
- akashi is akashi........ As always....... Keeping rakuzan players at best showing more dynamic plays across the team instead of focusing on uncrowned kings
I think after these two sports anime Diamond no Ace would be a big palette cleanser, cause it follows a completely different perspective: one of a powerhouse school with EVERYTHING to lose and our bumbling shonen protagonist having to deal with being one out of 100 players instead of one out of 9-10 with a guaranteed chance to play
Also you get to hear Kuroko's VA play Raichi, you will be shocked by his range =D
And even though I LOVE Haikyuu and Kuroko (they're def the sports anime I'd suggest first) DnA characters just start living rent free in your mind at some point, you'll love it! Lol
very true, kuroko no basket and haikyuu both have an opposite setup to this with the MC being one of the best players on an as-of-now relatively awful team
I dunno if it can _really_ be called a ‘sports anime’, seeing as it’s almost more about trickery and behind the scenes gambling and oneupmanships than the sport, but a favorite of mine that I don’t see often is One Outs. It’s about a baseball team with a really shitty manager who’s practically sabotaging the team, but the team themselves still really want to win a championship.
Their star player happens upon a pitcher playing a gambling game that he sees as ‘mocking’ proper baseball, and, through a series of events, after getting beat by his pitching style, wins a rematch on a technicality and recruits the pitcher for his team. The rest of the series is basically the new pitcher signing on with a special deal with the manager and starts taking advantage to rip the manager off and extort more and more money from him, all while still leading the baseball team to victory after victory.
All the back and forth and various tricks both sides pull is all really entertaining, and seeing not only the pitcher pulling one over the manager again and again, but also seeing the team grow and properly pursue that championship they’ve always wanted, but had all but given up on ever achieving, makes for a rather interesting story.
The only other recommendation I can offer is Prince of Tennis, but for all that I rather enjoy that series, even I can admit that things start to get really ridiculous by the end, and especially in the sequel. Kuroko no Basket had some rather insane abilities and shots, but in the end of the day, they’re just anime-fied exaggerations of real, actual skills that you can see now and again in real games. By the sequel, you’ve got guys ‘swinging their rackets in such a way as to create a vacuum and “catch” the ball so they can return it’ type things going on. I think the series is still pretty fun, but I’ll certainly admit; by the time they get into the last arc, you really start to wonder ‘can you even call this Tennis anymore?’ 😂
Anyways, those are my thoughts/recommendations, for what they’re worth. KnB is probably my all-time favorite sports anime, but you’ve clearly already watched and enjoyed that, so I can’t rec that one again 😅

Blue Lock is already one of the most GOAT'd sports anime so gotta watch that and season 2 comes next year.

There is actually a way to have unexpected passes. I cant remember the name of the player. You pretend you are passing to a teammate but actually the ball stay in the air as you move your arms to pass and you hit your ball with your elbow, its so fast and its like you are passing one way but the ball goes in 90 degree angle instead of how its supposed to go. To the other teammate. Its such a fast and slick move that not even his teammates would see it coming.
Kise’s so good, he went full Yuri on ice on them
For few mins, that doesn't make him better than any GOM, he's still not gonna win against any of them, especially all he can do is few mins and he's out of the court, he can't even make Aomine plays his 100% despite him copying him the whole game 😂
