Do not worry about the seasons. This show has one of the most turbulent histories of releases and cancellations. There are multiple hour long youtube videos just about the history of this show

I love the Animal House references.
I love that the Dean isn't named Dean Wormer like in the original Animal House. But is instead named for the actor who played him, John Vernon. Who also played the Mayor in the first Dirty Harry Movie and Fletcher in The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Btw, Dean Vernon is named after John Vernon who played the dean in Animal House.
"Mars University": An interesting riff on "Animal House" that gets funnier as my college years recede into memory. So, the "season/episode errors" are on Hulu? I used to see the "uncensored" versions on FXX, until Spectrum eliminated EIGHT Disney-owned channels for Disney+ in early 2024. (Now I have to watch the "censored/shortened for ads" episodes on "comedy central.")
the whole numbering with futurama is skewed... i read up on it once, but i don't remember exactly, somebunny correct me if im wrong...
I believe that basically one numbering is the original air dates, and the other is the actual intended numbering, since they got aired out of order for some reason... i might be talking out of my ass, but i believe it was something like that.
where and how seasons are divided also differs for the same reason somewhat... according to imdb the current season is 12, while according to wikipedia the current season is 9...
and of course this must happen with my favourite show of all time... not that im officially on some kind of spectrum and im sure there are worse problems in the world... but this irks me more than firefox renaming "undo close tab" to "reopen closed tab"... and let me tell you, that is what i call the "worst thing that happened in 2020".

So the episode order thing. I'm not gonna get on you, I'm just gonna nerd out on this. The order in which episodes are produced is not always the order in which they are aired (and in Futurama's case, it's not as bad as some shows like Firefly, Batman the Animated Series, or The Prisoner where episodes were actually aired out of order). So Hulu's numbering (& I think the DVDs as well) is based on the production order, not the airing order
