In this video I discuss the common pitfalls people find when watching coding tutorials, and its not just for beginners! Everyone can take a second to analyze their process when it comes to learning how to code. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, this video should help you think about what it means to learn how to code through watching videos. I started to learn to code a LONG time ago (5 years) and so I have learned so much since then about what it means to be a student in the programming space.
Effective googling, how to learn something completely new, and things of that nature are coming soon! I will provide more commentary videos like this if people find them helpful, so feel free to like / subscribe.

I think you have highlighted an important issue here. Sometimes in-depth tutorials just wash-over us :) I like your approach rather than some of the longer (some I've seen are 2 to 3 hours long).

Yup! I try my best to make stuff that is just the right amount of time, there is an art to the long programming video hah. Thanks for the comment hope your Christmas was great!

Me, I watched the course but it's not my main information. I am more focused on the curriculum and the basic results of the tutorial rather than doing what the video showed. After I finished the course, now I collected the idea of how can I progress or what things I need and don't know. I search the documentation of one of the curricula I learned to create appropriate exercises to use the code and see how it works. For the code, I'm not memories every code, instead, I write it on Note++ as snippets and write how will it work. The most important is how can I combine each result to make new results that I expect, not how cool am I to code it manually. I relay sometimes on drag and drop to make the front-end or copy-paste the snippets on documentation while modifying it. I don't remember the code so much, but I know the code when I read it and modify it to adjust for what I need. Programming is how will you assemble the ideas to have results.

You’re spot on, programming as I’ll about the end goal of assembling all the different types of code you need. Thanks for commenting :)

I like medium clone episode, very impressive, ui is clean and easy to use, trully awesome. Adrian Twarog has just released a tutorial on how to bring openai api into react projects, he also introduces all sorts of different models, how to train them, and customize to specific task, this is really amazing, it is time to embrace ai and bring ai into our apps from now on 🤩

Going to be looking into some example projects to do some of what Adrian has been doing. There are many applications for it so I'll definitely introduce it in a full stack project soon. Thank you for your comment!

It’s a tough spot to be in, glad you’re still out here and trying. I’m planning on making a video showing my research process when I learn an entirely new programming language to me, displayed in a commentary format like above. You got this!
