- I paid $349 US for this drone on sale at B&H. In 2019 the regular price is $499. In 2017 it cost $1200. Powervision has continued to improve this drone so it is certainly a great buy in 2019. I've watched several reviewers of drones. You are by far the best reviewer I've watched. You really go in-depth and give each drone an unbiased review and let me the consumer decide if its the right one for me. The Egg is very unique and looking at the direction drones are going this is the future. Great video, keep up the great work and I'll be following more of you. By the way my son fly's the Hubsan Desire x4 and loves it. But looks like I have a motor to replace since last crash.

You’ve got to be kidding me, longest prep time ever.
Kind of chunky but great camera rotation and fun features. Definitely looks cool with the leg retraction. And 5km distance, wow! One thing I really like about this is that it doesn't look scary or intimidating so others might be more ok with you flying around.
I have to say, this was the most 'egg'cellent video I have seen in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed the uniqueness of this drone. Thank you for reviewing it.

The prep time and all the steps to get started are ridiculous, however if you're not in a rush to get footage it seems like a fun choice and I also like the futuristic feel it has. Perhaps if they made a mini version of it, more people would pick one up.

As usual an excellent video from one of the most easy going guys on the tube. When this was first available in the UK I believe it was almost 2 grand and that is pounds not dollars, now its about 450 so probably worth a look as a fun drone, I can't imagine it would do to well in a crash. Great review just the facts.
Nice! The power egg interesting! The 349 is a pretty good price. I'm curious about what photographic still capabilities are available in the app and camera link pano, bracketing, timelapse, etc. Now that you have some experience with it. Hope to see more detail on these features thanks.
I think this drone is unique just the way I like things. It not only flies but it a conversation piece. And you could always telll law enforcement your taking your pet egg for a walk. Please give it some more fly time also. I really like your videos you make flying drones fun to watch and interesting with your comments. Thank You

That drone is really WORTH IT for under $400 👍

Remember that price was still US Dollars. $349 US converts to $465 Canadian. Still better than 1200.00 though
$150 for a SPARE battery. $369 for the Egg. Now I'm over $500 and I can get a DJI Mavic Mini FlyMore for $499 which has 3 BATTERIES. I love the unusual egg shape. I love that the Mavic Mini is VERY compact. I like the more advanced settings for the Egg. I like that DJI is the 800 pound gorilla in this space. If YOU had $500 to spend for a drone that will take great B Roll shots and mile after mile of cornfields.... which drone would YOU pick? :)
Always power up the ESCs with the drone on a level surface to allow the gyros to calibrate properly.

Smartass? I don't get that feeling from him at all. He seems well mannered and besides I grew up in Northern Minnesota and he seems to do a lot of winter flying and l have say his temperament and demeanor is a heck of a lot warmer then the environment he's standing in. Besides he's Canadien and in all the years I lived on a farm in Minnesota making cross border trips to Canada 1 thing stands out and that is how friendly and helpful Canadian people are. This was way back in the early 70's and I've moved to California after Minnesota so I don't know if that still is how Canadian's are. Should be tho Canada has the most beautiful scenery and the best fishing next the fishing in Minnesota . You have to like 30ft snow drifts tho and Sub-Zero temperatures ! 😁🍤😎

My egg drone is a museum piece that sits behind me in all my indoor vids. I’ll try it one day to see if it still works.
I saw yours sitting there. I’m sure it still flies but I’m curious about the battery.
$399 usd currently, 4.6lbs and very bulky but price justifies the fun factor. A dji spark similar price and fits in your pocket🤔
Love the unique design, was thinking about getting one. At the same time, if you can save about four times as much though, the DJI and Autel options can record a little better 4k video, at least in theory, since the MB/S is quicker
Great review, thank you. Good performance for the price, the bizarre shape is a bit off-putting for me. A bit like the Inspire, say goodbye to your camera in an emergency landing/crash.

Your channel has help me a lot. Out of The Power Egg and the Hubsan Zino which one do you recommend buying? I love the 4k cameras but I also want to be able to shoot straight down.
Zino is more practical

I have the original powervision power egg drone. My egg has gimbel drift tried to calibrate gimbel on controller calibration. I must be really old because I can't figure it out. You would think with all the videos out about the egg there would be a video about this. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. Powervision keeps sending me compass calibration. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated thank you I subscribe to your channel very informative keep up the good work and those videos coming
If it is just your gimbal drifting, then that means the gimbal itself needs a calibration. You didn't by accident start up the egg with the gimbal locked? Or hit the gimbal on the ground? Both of those will damage the gimbal and cause drift.
In my opinion, this is a great idea, love the price point, but the dji mavic mini just kind of one ups it in all ways from flight time to range to portability. Honestly if the dji mavic mini wasn’t around, I’d get of these for sure but the mavic mini just seems to kind of make it a bit obsolete. Also great video Captain!

Neat idea but flawed. Weight distribution I think is bad. The cg is low from the looks of it. So itll cause a pendulum effect causing the motors to work harder and the gimbal

All it needs is a little green man attached to one of the landing legs that will appear when the legs extend....

I found a place i could purchase the 1st gen Mork & Mindy poweregg but im having a problem pulling the trigger. I looked around to see how easy it would be to buy basic parts for it. Apparently there is only 1 battery left on the web and thats on ebay and it cost half as much as buying the whole drone. Also there is only 1 set of propellers left too and they cost $40. I guess i need to talk to Orson. Nanu Nanu

Even at $499 it is still a steal compared to the price two years ago. My guess is you will see it on sale again before Christmas either on B&H or Amazon.
$350 was a 'cracking' price.
I would be all over this drone for that price except I just made ARRMA richer yesterday when I found one of their limited (not limitless) Infractions. Trying to be a functional RCer and not a blantant abuser! I loved the look of this Drone when it first came out, and now the price has dropped significantly. Another well done review my northern friend.
