Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis heat up the stage in the acclaimed revival of "Porgy and Bess," and offstage the co-stars are super close pals. The friends took a break from Catfish Row to answer fans' burning questions and finish each other's sentences in this hilarious Ask a Star. Highlights include bickering over who is the real star and everything from Norm's take the "Les Miz" movie musical casting to Audra's wedding plans. To K C (don't know why I can't reply directly to your post) : Norm's shirt is probably inside out because it must have had a logo on it and the video makers didn't want to give the company free publicity.

Actually, Taye Diggs is best known for playing Sam Bennett on ABC's Private Practice (Audra Mcdonald played his ex-wife) and/or movies roles in How Stella Got her Groove Back, Brown Sugar, The Best Man, and The Wood, etc. He is very popular outside of the Broadway World.

Such a cute interview. I wonder who Norm is more like, Porgy or Javert. He should have played Javert in the movie. It would have been magnificent instead of merely adequate. Norm is more talented than Russell Crowe, and would have brought an intensity and sympathy to the character that Crowe lacked. It was idiotic not to use Norm in that movie. Both male leads were tepid, but I have the 25th Anniversary DVD of Les Miserables. I watch it a lot.
