    Wait, if the college loses accreditation AFTER you graduate, your degree is harmed? How can someone protect themselves against a school just losing accreditation years after you graduate?

      @@culinarykid92 It shouldn’t be harmed.

      Not usually how that works, is there a timestamp for what you’re referring to?

      @@CollegeHacked What about the inverse? Say a school was nationally accredited when you attended, but then becomes regionally accredited. Is teh degree grandfathered?

      @@trekster9269For a grad school it would be a problem (they need the degree to have been regionally accredited when you earned it). But if the brand name was good and the use is for employers not for grad school, it probably wouldn’t change your life at all.

    Congrats to this gentleman. I feel the same way and it's about personal satisfaction. Right now I feel satisfied with my BLS and MAOL.

    Anyone considering the UMPI psychology degree, it is NOT easier than the sophia courses. The milestones range from 2-5 page papers if you’re lucky. Some milestones are up to 7 pages. Majority of my classes required at least one presentation as a milestone or a final presentation that was 30-45 minutes. Liberal Arts with a minor in psych may be an easier route.

    Interesting that he found UMPI faster/easier than Sophia. Personally I prefer the test/quiz format. I think I'm going to struggle with the writing at UMPI, but I also think I'll be better off for fighting through it.

    Hi!
    Due to cards I was dealt at a young age, I dropped out of high school in 10th grade. I’m 27 now and have managed to maneuver through life pretty well. Now, I feel like I’ve hit a ceiling within my career and all of the promotional positions from this point require a bachelors degree. Im stuck, do I go back and get my GED then start working on my bachelor’s? Is that a waste of time? Is a GED required to go to these hackable colleges?

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      GED is a requirement for all of the schools you’d want to attend (regionally accredited schools), so yes start there. But you’ve got this! It feels far away now, but you could finish the GED and degree by the end of this year if you wanted to 💪🏼

    I just started my first term at UMPI and I have 7 classes to finish for my bachelors degree. Hopefully will only do one term. This home stretch is rough lol

      Don't you have to have at least 10 courses at UMPI?

    Would it be possible to hack a communications degree? That’s pretty much the only option I’m looking at but not sure which “hackable” school to choose for this major

      Depends on why you need it and who has set that requirement. I would check with them about what exactly counts and what doesn’t.
