Wisconsin Death Trip started it all bruva...I would play Duke Nukem in 1999-2000 for the ps1 and N64 and the intro song was Push It ...saw them live in 2001..
Saw these guys on the second stage at Ozzfest 99. Then saw System of a Down on the main stage. Two bands that definitely changed my musical taste for a while. Been listening to some Static X again lately and I wish there were more bands who made this music in the late 90s to early 2000s. I feel like the music today suffers for it, and the last good album I heard was Hardwired by Metallica. I miss the old days.
For those wondering, the part at 2:10 says, "We entered your minds. We changed them. We entered your minds. We changed them... for you." It's from the 1985 movie Lifeforce. You can see the original scene here: th-cam.com/video/7uOhTRONUbY/w-d-xo.html
When they used to hit the strobe lights in a dark club while playing this song live you felt like you were tripping balls watching mayhem around you. Rip Wayne Static they don't make frontmen like you anymore!
2020. In isolation. Banging the fuck out of this album and terrorising the neighbours. Reminds me of the house parties we had with this when it first came out! Ahhh, miss the good old days........
carlos eduardo. c'mon man, this deserves a little more respect than that. lets see you surpass the achievements of these artists, then you can smack talk. yes, it sounds similar, but not that much
Why do all the heroes die do soon? Wayne, dime, vinnie paul, etc.....seems like they are only here long enough to make their mark on our souls then they leave us
If you're talking about the part at 2:08 and the one that starts repeating at 3:25, it's from the movie Lifeforce. I actually found this out today myself by accident. I had been searching for the movie and saw the scene that is sampled in the song in a movie review and immediately recognized where I had heard it from. I'm planning on watching the movie tomorrow night with my siblings, cause we like those 80s B-movies. Funny though how that coincidence just came to be. Also, I'm going to see Static-X next weekend in LA! Stoked!
Almost 2020 and I still listen to these classics never gets old
Same with me my guy 🔥
💯💯💯💯💯💯🤣
too bad Wayne passed, miss these guys
2021
Same thing here
The best thing about Static X is that they used to make music for Fans & not for the Critics. Love you Static X, RIP Wayne. 😔
Had really good times, thanks Wayne for this gift called Static-X. It is so sad that you are no more here with us. R.I.P.
hopefully wayne is jamming up there with jimi hendrix, michael jackson, and everybody else whose music lives on.
This had to be the best Static album .Death trip was great ,but this album was special, R.I.P Wayne.

Static is its own genre of music. Love it forever. RIP Wayne Static.
There is no other artist like him. Nor will there ever be. It wasn't industrial, or black metal it was and still is SAVAGE metal.

So cool. I've always loved his wordplay methods, like in the chorus when he ends with "gone" instead of saying permanence again. Excellence.

Best song for Quake Champions!
It's funny how the best song on the album is rarely one of the released singles.
Totally agree. Only exception is Shadow Zone with song named "The Only" this is such a nice irony :D

Anyone know the lyrics at 2:10 in the song?
“We’ve entered your minds. We’ve changed them. We’ve entered your minds. We’ve changed them, to live.
Do you know what the sample is from? I can’t find anything about it.
