Seal Beach California Under Construction

- Many have asked so here is a video short of the conga line of construction equipment at Seal Beach California. They are working on the south side of the pier. Part 2 is the ocean view from the open north side.

The Berm!! Around 7-8 years ago, a large storm/swell broke the barrier of the man made berm and flooded the whole parking lot south of the pier. The water nearly entered into beachfront properties….the city brought in a very large sump pump and tried to pump all the water out of the parking lot and the beach in front of properties on the south side…..that was the best detecting I ever had there at SB, after they pumped out a lot of the water…I found so many silver coins, wheat Pennies, and a few gold /silver rings….I was unearthing some of the original metal piping from an old time roller coaster that used to be there too….good times!!
That is interesting and I will def keep an eye out for what they are up to..... could be a good opportunity

Why do they do this?
I have no idea...they build a sand berm for storms but I have never seen them do this to a beach? I will ask the next time I am down there...
Are they actually doing any work or just racing their vehicles around the beach?! 🚜

Yes... heavy equipment is fascinating... I have driven a cat (tractor) but these are big kid toys for sure...thanks
