This one person saved eight lives. Eight people get to continue living. A child gets to live past childhood. An adult gets to continue their adulthood. This is beautiful. The fact that their great selflessness and bravery was recognized is truly astonishing and beautiful.

I know it sounds awful, but people like made a hell of a lot of money from the organs too. I mean, it is not easy supply so its expensive for organ donation treatment. Its crazy that people donate organs, but other make money from them.
It is great though to give the gift of life on Matthews part for free, as his last dying wish. Its just a pity is has to revolve around money, and fees and others making profit. It should be free and for the good of humanity.

Yes It is so respectful honor that the hospital and the doctor are killing a young man, He is alive and otherwise he can't donate an organ. Not only that Organ transplant was an experiment, which had developed to an industry, but the result is ugly. Approx. 50% of the recipient dies in a time of one month because of organ rejection and surgery complication. And another 80% dies within a year because of the medication they had to take immune system suppressor, and 99% dies within two years time. Our body is not meant to accept other bodies organ. Only there is a better success in kidney transplant and that too can be avoided with natural remedies.

My brother Jake was in a car accident Aug 12 2017, he was on his way swimming with friends when his brakes locked and he crashed. He died Aug 13 2017 at 9:40 pm. He was an organ donor, he saved 5 lives. I would love to be able to some day talk to the recipients and tell them how full of live he was, he was always happy, and so kind and courageous. To tell them his motto, live life to its fullest you don’t get a redo. That’s the motto I try to live by now. RIP Mathew, I believe there is a special place for donors and I hope you and my brother and all the others are up there having the best of times.

My brother died suddenly at age 36. Since he died at his home, the only thing we could donate was his tissue, as a tissue bank had just opened. We also wanted to donate his bones, but the bone bank was still under construction. My mom worked with the pathologist who harvested his tissue, and she told us a couple of weeks later that his tissue had been given to two babies who were burn victims. We never found out whether or not they survived, but I like to think that his passing was not in vain; that through him, two babies were given a chance for life.

@@anitafiscal857 the majority of these videos I have seen from the Walk Of Honor the surgical team was much slower and gave the family time to process it all and say that final goodbye while the heart was still beating. With this team I hope they are moving quickly as they got a notice to need that OR urgently after it was already set up for a organ harvesting which requires several non-traditional surgical set ups. Or that they activated the system for the person receiving the heart or a lung and in that procedure you have a window of time to get it from the donor to the recipient and if the organ had to be flown it is all a big speedy process so the organ doesnt go bad and the recipient is at optimal receiving process to try and prevent rejection.

This was absolutely beautiful. I've had the opportunity to be in the OR a few times during an organ donation and we were always asked to bow our heads while the patient's name was read and told which team would take each organ and then have a moment of silence. After the case, as the patient was taken off life support, the anesthesiologist would take a moment to turn off machines and sit with the patient until they were gone. It's quite beautiful and respectful. All of us know the sacrifice this person has made and are appreciative.

I'd like to add that I saw someone say this young man lost his brother shortly after his own untimely death and I can't even begin to express how much my heart hurts for their family. Life seems so cruel sometimes.
I also wanted to add that if Matthew did organ and tissue donation he not only potentially saved 8 lives with his organs, but he also could have donated his corneas, skin for burn victims, tendons to help people become mobile again, bone that can be grafted to stabilize a patients weakened bone giving it time to heal, and many many other tissues that can give over 100 people a better quality of life. Organ and tissue donation doesn't stop helping only the 8 people who receive organs, it helps numerous other people and that creates a ripple effect. I know what donation entails and my husband and I are both donors, and God forbid something was to ever happen to our children we would donate their organs so another family doesn't have to feel the pain of losing a child that could be saved. My husband and I will donate our bodies to science if we live to an old age where we are left unable to donate anything else. If we live to a ripe old age at least we can teach the doctors of tomorrow how to treat patients in the future and further the science of healthcare.

I cannot imagine the agony of the family and the tears of grief at the death of their daughter, but I wish that I knew Who her parents were, because I would like to thank them and hug them, and tell them of the joy there exists in this world because the heart of their little girl went to someone special. It’s such an incredible Act, to allow your child to have their organs donated to others in need while you’re in the midst of such horrible grief. And on the other side of the table there are families rejoicing call mine crying tears of joy. Thank you to all who are registered donors. The honor that was shown to this Young man was beautiful. The walk of hero's is a wonderful idea and practice. We do this in the hospital I work for. This is a nice video. A bit of advice to hospitals watching this as a learning tool, walk slower and allow his mother to kiss his forehead one last time before they go into the sterile area. This allows time for the family to be acknowledge by the many people who have worked with them over the past week(s).

When I say this, know it comes from someone awaiting a kidney transplant, this is amazing. There is a lot that goes through the mind of someone awaiting a transplant. Knowing that most donations are not from the living, to know that the odds of a family suffering and in their darkest hour when my turn comes is great, isn't something I don't think about every day. To all those families who have been on that side, and those who will be, there are not strong enough words to express how much my heart goes out to you all. For those who have received or await a donation, let's live our lives as best as possible, and be the kindest people this world have ever seen.

Even if it says they are brain dead, I have the fear that there could be a chance they can recover and I dont want any guilt in removing life support. I hope I never have to make that decision in my future. RIP Matthew

Yes It is so respectful they are killing a young man, He is alive and otherwise he can't donate an organ. Not only that Organ transplant was an experiment, which had developed to an industry, but the result is ugly. Approx. 50% of the recipient dies in a time of one month because of organ rejection and surgery complication. And another 80% dies because of the medication they had to take immune system suppressor, and 99% dies within two years time. Our body is not meant to accept other bodies organ. Only there is a better success in kidney transplant and that too can be avoided with natural remedies.

check the video and why this boy didn't got a second chance to live. Know that our body is not meant for someone else's organ. It rejects the organ killing the recipient most of the time. But the doctor wont tell you because it is gives them the most money. Our organs contain Our genetical material known chromosome. IT IS A SCAM STARTED IN US, in 1967. But people are not enough to discover to take a chance and detox and reuse your own organ without surgery. There are herbs that can totally works miracles on your body.
