This lady is very special. I have been privileged to see her play live here in London, man, what a voice! The new album (Never Say Never) is excellent.
Just saw her at Big Blues Bender Las Vegas , Wow she did not have a show per se but was singing as a roving artist but when she sang it was a powerhouse performance and we all wanted to know when she would sing again. She's from NY and definitely not old but has that old soul of a true blues artist. I listened to her album "A Force of Nature" on my way home and only wanted more!
No, her age is not told, but 60 is waaaaaay too much! She might be in her mid to late 40s. You should see her on stage, then you wouldn't think of "60".
Her voice quite deep and then again maybe I'm wearing better than thought lol! She got style and slight tum like 50 year old, looks can be deceptive..Anyhow, it is a little wrong to judge a performer by their appearance etc I guess. I wasn't being shallow, just curious!
