Damn Angel really got that one. Beast seemed to try to "force" his krump on to these very chill songs. I seen him kill chill songs with Krump before, but his energy just didn't match like it usually does this time around.
@twofacialexpressions May of just been in an odd headspace. Dance is often a feeling, and when random music is playing, you may have to force yourself to put out some content. Thats litteraly the whole point of this competition is dancing to non typical dance comp music so it can definitely throw off dancers mental a bit.
@@emanthechamp Kinda side commentary building off you. I've seen a few other comments that the music choice was whack for a comp. Red Bull already has BC One for a "hard" comp, and there's plenty of events like SDF for dancers experienced with battles to watch. Dance Your Style excels at platforming friendlier battles (disrespect your opponent too much and you easily lose the audience) while also making more dance styles accessible with an audience vote (kinda similar to NBC's World of Dance having public figures as judges). Playing familiar and mainstream music gives the general crowd an easier time honing in on what the dancers are doing with that music for their vote. They might know the lyrics, where the drops are, where the beat-kills can be, etc. for even more engagement. Overall, I'd say this comp does a great job. Plus, it's honestly kinda fun seeing familiar faces having to adapt like this lol.
Respect to rage for giving beast that energy, that support system krump has is always great to see, but damn angyil was flowing like she was in the club having a good time lol. Let Alex the cage pop out tho🤷🏽♂️👀
Yeah dude I agree I think it's a regional thing, however as a fellow Krumper I've always channeled more aggression towards it however them songs were slow asf and he still killed it
