If you taught this face to face in groups of 10 it'd require about two years of full time employment non-stop teaching this content to reach the equal number of trainees. Your effort is making an impact, nice job.
Great series on MongoDB. The only thing I would mention is that when you create the user for Database Access on Mongo Atlas you need to make sure that neither the username or password contain any special characters that you would see in an URL string - ie, @, :, ?, =, etc. Since the Connection String is going to be treated as a normal URL, it will cause issues with how the URL string is interpreted and you'd get error messages that you can't authenticate to your Atlas db. I usually tell my students when we go over MongoDb that they should just stick to upper and lower case letters and numbers for both else use the suggested passwords.

Just a clarification, the IP whitelist only adds a layer of protection of your data. Allowing access from anywhere doesn't mean that anyone can access your data. One's data is primarily protected by the connection string which has the password associated with it.

It does say that you need to handle special characters in the documentation
You can url encode to solve this issue.
