Tip;
Don’t breath in as much air as possible, it will tire you lungs. Instead, take a breath that’s slightly more than what you’d normally breathe. This won’t tire your lungs but should contain enough oxygen to keep you from needing to take another breath.

I’ve been swimming for 10 years, I started when I was 1.
I’m able to hold my breathe for close to 3-4 minutes. Which doesn’t sound like much, but does take a lot of effort for somebody with a legitimate breathing issue.
I saw this video.
I click.
I held my breathe the whole time, while finishing my a favorite novel, “The Hunger Games”
I didn’t realize we finished.
Just like I never realize when a plane takes off.
