In savage axt mode you should hold the buttons for a few seconds to deal more damage. You get more ticks.

@@SceraseeMorow clearly not you goof ball. But rise made them realize that it was too easy to SAED spam. Even SA was too easily accessible. That’s why you have to actually use damn near the entire kit to get that damage back. Now CB actually lives up to it title of “most technical weapon”. But I’ll give grace & admit this route they chose definitely slowed down the weapon as far as dps goes.
@jiggynegus7541 I just don't know what's capcoms problem.....gen ultimate cb was way off , world and iceborn gave us 2 playstyles to combo between, base rise cb felt off again and wilds they might as well remove SAED because I've seen no one use it ....just leave shit alone and let use enjoy what we love
Well SAED was already something you had to work for before, now it's just senseless to use a phial in order to use it. World / Iceborne had the best version of CB.

It bothers me that i can't unleach the big explotion attack when all my phials are full without wasting first une phial and loosing precious time in a less powerfull attack and then after that it performs the super amp discharge.
It's terrible in my opinion...I like using savage axe when I can and saed for that satisfying finish but it feels like they don't want us to really have an option

Gonna be real here, SAED is what makes CB fun. I have 1700 hours in World alone on CB and savage axe was about 200 of them total. CB is about the phial explosions. Hopefully they add builds and weapons that make SAED king again.
You’re clueless. You can still guard point and immediately SAED. You just can’t spam it in neutral which is the most boring way to play
Saed spam, especially in base world and sunbreak,is the most boring cb playstyle by far.
Both aed and savage axe are more fun
Also CB main here, I always thought instead of choosing between SAED spam or savage axe, using two play styles simultaneously would be more fun. When I first played CB I did not know there were different playstyles and I just used SAED and savage axe playstyle simultaneously, it was what made me CB main, it was too fun and artistic. I am really happy current state of CB right now.
@@rath8028 if we all ask capcom to fix the SAED release like it was before, we might get it back!! Having to perform an extra move before triggerung the SAED is not fun! Is frustating and a waste of precious time and phial power!
It’s still there and it can still be your main damage option if you want, it just had a higher skill floor now, I’ve mained CB since 4u, and in my opinion, wilds is yhe best cb has ever been.

Ive been watching multiple cb game play some even 2 hour stright and i have not seen 1 saed from multiple creators....old fun cb is dead ....world was the best as it gave options between savage axe and ultra spam . Now its savage axe or nothing...thanks for the huge middle finger Capcom
"Old cb is the best", you mean base world cb because in mh4u aed was by far and away the best cb playstyle.

No they didnt. They made people not solely rely on spamming SAED's. It makes you use AED's more often and its easier to aim so you dont wiff. Impact phials can more reliably knock out monsters. They also made power axe mode crazy since it doesnt drain phials anymore
