I have an assignment given by God to be who He’s called me to be regardless of what my husband acts like and lives like! I am called to obey God, to believe Him and to love! Lead me to love Lord, to be a godly wife in reverence to You!
I interpret it as not being given to anxiety or constant complaining and instead anchoring your hope in God which means you’re not afraid of the future, you’re not trying to control others, and you learn to be content while bringing your concerns quietly to God. This in no way means being a doormat, quite the opposite as you learn to be confident in having boundaries and being wise with your speech because you trust God to fight for you.
She just told you what to do. Go to God. It’s a relationship with Him. Walking with him. If you seek Him with all your heart and strength. He will tell you what to do. His word never goes void!!!!
@@marciejones6873 5:49 This is what I’m replying to ❤️ (the time stamp- I don’t know if I did that right) I agree with you. And yet I also need support. My children are watching- the stakes are high.
@@marciejones6873 5:48 I’ve never done a time stamp so I’m hoping that works 😅 this is the spot where she said she’s not talking about abuse. There are not enough Christian voices for women who are experiencing abuse. While I want to do it with just the Lord, I have tried and failed and wind up so isolated and confused (if you’ve never been abused you don’t know the deep confusion). My children are watching- the stakes are high.
Thank you so much for this. My husband is an unbeliever. This is so reassuring and gives me hope and guidance.

All I can say is wow...!!
I thank God for you and this video. It encapsulated so much in such little time! 💕
I have not done my job well. It is so hard to change.
Thanks Lisa, You are amazing
Good stuff--thank you.
What does it mean to have a gentle and quiet spirit?? How can I do that? Examples ?
Be peaceful, not quarrel, be soft spoken and respectful. Be gentle 😊

Thank you!! I appreciated the caveat on abuse. What would you advise to a woman in a verbally abusive marriage? The church has not been helpful.
I would love some advice on the same issue please 😢
