Crazy how they want to add miles onto them. I guess they're trying to get the odometers to turn-over so they'll have a legitimate case to fund battery-electric buses in the future. Hey, it's still cool seeing these base out of Virginia for the first time ever.
Yeah it cool riding these in VA since now since we order one XE40 hopefully it will next service soon it been here since September but there might be plans to order more battery electric buses in the future
Nice video I like the sound of its axles. As for the Orion V at Western, I haven't seen it around since the fall (I drive by there every morning, and last i remember seeing it was October). I assume they got rid of it when the D40LFRs showed up.
Maybe I should start taking more Blandensberg buses. I mostly take northern and western. Sometimes I've been on Blandensberg buses like I've taken the 96 two times (#2376 and #2904). And I've taken a J2 once and an E4 once (J2 #6020 and #7134 E4). I have to take a break from western and northern for a while.
Oh My God. I think that #2197 is at western. I watched a video of #2197 on the 30N and it was uploaded on February 1st, 2017 and it was taken on February 1st, 2017. And the 30N bus comes from western bus depot.
Yes I know 2 friends of my saw 2197 on the 30N yesterday 2197 was a Southern Ave division bus but Western was loaning it yesterday but idk if it still at Western though
I think your right. They loan buses sometimes, and i've seen several Montgomery buses running their routes before such as DE40LFs and 2016 XDE40s. Given that 30N has a southern terminus in South East, borrowing a bus from Southern would make sense.
You'll also catch some of the remaining Orion V's on Routes A7, and A9 in SE D.C., Route P6, Route 80 during Rush-Hours, Routes 52 and 54 along 14th street mainly during Rush-Hours, Routes S1 along 16th Street , Routes W17 and P19 as well.
Hopefully it might still be at Western but idk there is 50/50 chance the service cuts might happen but hopefully not as of right now idk when the Orion Vs will retire it could happen before or after the summer it best to come ride them now while you still can before there gone
I've tried asking my mom if we could go to dc in April. Hopefully they will still be there by then. Did they start decreasing. How many left are now is it still 50-70.
