Murkha.....According to our yogic culture soul does not leave the body at oneS or in a second but there is process to leave. APANA, WYAANA, SAMANA.....FIVE STAGES ARE THERE IN DEATH PROCESS. If we do not burn down the body on time there is chances to come back So, in our culture. we take dead body near the tulshi math and tie both toe finger of leg to close the dwar( from that dwar PRANA tries to inter into the body, some time other pichas soul might inter ). IN tantra we can understand about it. Prana returning into body is not a new or any miracle but a unsuccessful process of death. Nature has lot of secret it is not good in many cases. IN our culture we are technical so we started to burn the body. A body should burn down with in 1 and half to 4 hrs according to tantric yogis.
