PLD is just so tanky in pvp that whenever there is a PLD everyone ignore it and focuses on the others since focusing on PLD is either you can gang and stunlock it to death or the rest of your party died by others because you and your team tunnel vision on the PLD
The best way to deal with a Paladin is to force guard, focus on someone else, and when they rush over to save their friend, you drop AoE attacks. They horribly instadie from taking double damage, and you set back their limit break by 20 seconds.
the idea of paladin now is that you ignore it entirely and only kill the paladin when he is alone, when he use cover on someone you immediately switch target. paladin is no longer a tank but more like a healer

@@kizuna2225 yeah i know i wish it was the panic button it should be sadly at least in frontlines its almost useless sometimes i can go from full health to dead in a second or two
Except you forgot the part where since you take the damage meant for the player, they get you 1-shotted by the samurai by striking during LB prep, or the part where they walk into a hazard that can delete anyone.. Or the part where them stopping to use a potion actually gets you killed because they get whaled on by like 3 other enemies simply because they all saw him chugging a potion at 1% hp.
I had a monk who was getting blown up so I covered them and immediately died to being stunned in the Bahamut/whm lbs that got dropped simultaneously. Taking the damage from Bahamut twice doesn’t go well, I tell ya hwat.
The trick is to never cover a player without having Guard, Hallowed Ground, or Purify+Shelltron up. Doing so is a great way to turn one guarenteed death into two, and unless they're carrying, maintaining your own limit break generation (as Paladin limit break can single-handedly stuff pushes) is probably better than covering Johnny Two Fingers that hasn't seemed to have figured out how Recuperate works yet.
@@Doublejho Half the time I feel like I paint a target on my back, literally the only time the entirety of the other alliances jump me is when im on black mage. People are pretty scared of the potency, it seems.
There should be a giant indicator showing for the ally that he/she is being guarded! That would save lives and time. I cant macro properly and have a Call Out Covering Macro on controller! imagine guard working with all aliance memebers - instantly pal become viable in frontlines without constantly trying to buff its damage with little bits, I hate the devs - they can't figure buffing jobs abilities specificly for mass pvp (frontlines)
If they unscrew the netcode they've been working with for years, and apply damage falloff when attacking over 5 targets, both Crystalline Conflict and Frontlines would be considerably more fun to play.
... and then they get blown over by a stiff breeze. Hence why you want the friendly Paladin to cover them, and when they run away from the singular thing keeping them out of the grave, it's pretty painful to watch.
That was me yesterday. Jumping and leaping and soaring, then a paladin waltzed in and took my punk card 😭
Deserved, fuking dragoons
Your battle high status has been revoked!!! >:D
lol paladin was like "Alright no more from you" or as i say when i pvp on pally "stop the doing of the stuff!"
Paladin being a walking fortress that's best only fought when outnumbered is weirdly lore accurate lol

By the time you kill that Paladin the main fight is on the other side of the map lol.

I can't attest to pvp, but for the dragoon, that's pretty much pve content too.

You forgot the part where a black mage deletes your entire team in three casts.

You spelled samurai wrong 😂😂

ignore it and it does nothing.

All they need to do is remove Dark Knight's sucking ability, and it'll be way better. That aoe slow/pull combod with DRG/SMN/AST is game breaking.
