I found your channel searching for Aussie videos (we’re getting an Aussie/Berner mix in a few weeks!) and now I watch every video! You are so fun and you are doing an amazing job with Freya! #goals
Marissa, anyone who watches your vlogs knows that you are a beautiful person inside and out. You are a pleasure to know (via Facebook!) Thank you for sharing a health problem with us all. Nothing can change the niceness of your personality and looks. Best Wishes.
Me and my boyfriend have been the proud parents of a 9 week old blue Merle male for a week now!!! We love watching your videos to see Freya and we are amazed at how well you have her trained. If you could make a video on how you got her trained with the commands and learning her spots we would so so appreciate it! Also any tips you have for all that nipping😅 we can’t wait to see more of Freya!
Please keep doing the grocery hauls! They're so so helpful when coming up with ideas for new meals. I've been trying to convince my family to let me make them the Panera salad. It's soooo good! Tbh I still watch your old college videos to know what to get when I'm on campus because I'm cheap and those meals look quick, easy, and not very messy. Oh oh, also Your hair looks so good in the clip! I used to do that but my hair is thick and heavy so the clips I used couldn't hold it all in place for a long period of time. Where did you get them from?
I suffer from extreme eczema all over my body, specifically on my legs and arms. When it first started to appear on my skin and show up I was so insecure about it. In the summer months I would wear pants and long sleeves to try and cover it up bc I was so embarrassed and I didn't want people looking at me weird. I feel you and I understand where you're coming from with your psoriasis. There will always be good and bad days with it but always remember you're beautiful inside and out regardless of it
I have eczema so I know how it goes so don't feel bad about your condition it happens to the best of us we will still always love you and support you and understand you and you are amazing and brave for talking about it openly don't feel ashamed of it your body is still beautiful and strong so don't hide it you should show it because it makes you You so love yourself for how you look no matter how different you look than anyone else you are a big sister to me and I am so proud of you and I have been watching you ever since my freshman year of college maybe longer by now and I am so thankful to God for you giving me helpful advice and making me laugh and smile so be proud of yourself for what you accomplish because nobody else can do what you do so keep rocking who you are for myself and so many people you help. Hope you are enjoying your weekend beginning. You are incredible keep smiling and making others day better because there's only 1 You so be the best you that you can be
Marissa! I also have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I am 22 (have had it for 3 years) and am a registered nurse. I have taken Cosentyx (immunosuppressant) for 2 years. It’s absolutely life changing (in a good way). The bloodwork actually isn’t very intense, about every 6 months and most people actually feel so much better and are healthier because of it. It might be worth taking another look at if you can :) wish you well!
Griffin was cracking me up in this video at the end when dropping Freya off at doggy daycare. "I'm hungry." "If she's traumatized, I don't give a shit, 630." hahahah.
Just a question out of curiosity: for in the car, have you thought of buying a seatbelt attachment that clips to the harness? Just noticed that Freya likes to climb onto the console, and that’s what I use for my dog so she stays in the back, even though I also use a hammock as well! (Sorry I comment so much lol). Edit: I just followed Freya’s account on all of my animals’ accounts!
We definitely want to, for now she likes to still kinda chew her leash and she would just chew it up back there and I wouldn't be able to stop her, so we're trying to get her to stop doing that before strapping her in something she would have free range to chew back there. and omg thank you!! 💙
Does a scheduled nap and playtime help with training? We have a dog who's almost 2 years now and never went through scheduled times for nap and play so wondering if it's too late to do that now. She's kind of a wild dog and doesn't listen half the time plus has some bad habits now. Either way, I would do scheduled nap and play time when I get my own puppy because it seems way better to stay on a routine.
YES! Freya has been on a strict schedule until about 16-17 weeks and she still follows some of it but she has more free time now etc. but the schedule is the only way I kept my sanity lol. here's what we did: 9:00am - wake up 9:00-10:00pm - break up this hour for playtime, training, and breakfast 10:00-12:00pm - nap time 12:00-1:00pm - play time/enrichment game or activity/snack 1:00-3:00pm - nap time 3:00-4:00pm - play time 4:00-6:00pm - nap time 6:00-7:00pm - break up this hour for playtime, training, and dinner 7:00-9:00pm - nap time 9:00-10:00pm - hardcore playtime to tire her out 10:00pm - bed time Now of course this is a TON of nap times, but for puppies they sleep like 16-20 hours a day and they need it, so it's perfect. But this could be tweaked for like 2-3 hour naps and 3-4 hour awake/play times, etc. whatever works best for your schedule!
I work at a doggy daycare and it’s totally normal to be nervous about the first day but at least at my doggy daycare we are trained on keeping the dogs safe, stopping dog fights quickly, and noticing illness in dogs! 🤍
How did you train Freya to know hand signals? I’d love to know your training schedule, I have a 3 month old puppy and it’s been hard to train her, would love some advice! Thanks!
Ok,i have an idea! When you feed her chicken paws or anything like disgusting you can get some tweezers in size XL. I used to do this with my dog and i can not lie it changed my life! Best thing i could of ever had done.
Please I need your help I have a ten week old border collie pup and I haven’t been able to walk him yet. Does it get easier when they get to walk and tire out
I had such a hard time with puppyhood that when he was FINALLY old enough for daycare I was crying because I didn't want to pick him UP at the end of the day lol
thank you so much for responding! i actually just finished watching that video xD you are amazing. i hope when i get my australian shepherd in the future, i will be as good of a parent as you and your boyfriend
Freya is so Big now she's huge and so well trained and beautiful I want a dog like her she's so sweet and getting to have so much fun with you I love watching her react to you taking her outside the house she loves that I wish I could do that with my dogs. Any tips on how to train them like Freya?
I have sugar gliders and have always gotten chicken paws for them and so many people give me interesting looks when they see me grab them and/or pay for them 😂
Hi Marissa!! I've been watching your videos since the beginning of the covid pandemic and I'm a huge fan, i love watching your videos as they really lift my spirits. that being said, I know that you are a kind and loving person as well as an ally to the POC community, so I think it's important for a poc to tell you when you have done something wrong. The way you spoke about chicken feet was really disheartening to see, I'm from the Philippines and I grew up with my parents and extended family eating chicken feet, and I have always associated cooking with them with my family and traditions. The way you spoke about them reminded me of how I was bullied and ostracized for my cultural foods as a child. I know you never meant any harm, but please try to keep this perspective in mind!!! I love you, have a beautiful day
thank you for bringing this to my attention, I apologize for the way I reacted when handling the raw chicken. I did not mean to offend or upset anyone. 💗
