you are the avatar , the bridge btwn yo own physical world and spiritual world. just like in the show , you are made aware of your identity in a time when your life is in a state of crisis , disaster and therefore you are called to bring balance. to do this you are endowed with a special spiritual gift "the avatar state" a super consciousness that will allow you to be master of your own emotions , will , desires and passions. just like in the show , you must be trained in the art of the elements so as to "bend" them to your will.
the show is a calling , veiled in allegory. a message to the lost soul that is governed by wild passions and endless worldly illusions that are of no real profit , but rather are the cause of all his suffering. just like in the show , the fire lord (man's lower earthly being devoid of spirit) selfishly seeks control and dominion at the expense of peace. the soul must therefore return to it's spirit origins (aang is symbolically a kid) and be taught the ancient mysteries (guru pathik) that will allow him to open his chakras and gain mastery of his whole being , and in that sense , restore the balance within himself.
