- Me riding my '99 Yamaha WR400f on Competition Hill at Dumont Dunes. I have a regular old knobby tire (not paddle) with about 60% tread left on it, so yeah I'm not winning any races in this video. But, I beat a few Honda 400EX's no problem, one with paddles on it.
The other WR400f is my little brother. His is a 2000 with a paddle, power bomb, and heavier flywheel. The race he loses in this video was the only one he lost the whole weekend haha. Stupid Banshees.
Both bikes are street legal. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Oh I honestly didn't haha I really do appreciate you telling me ,This would be my second 4 stroke I have ever had my 1st 4 stroke was my first bike a dr 125 I never checked the oil it had a small leak and I thought it was normal I blew up the whole engine according to my dad because It was"Seized" After that I learned how to do the according maintanence to my current bike (97 yz 125) Which my top end just blew ,I have different intentions with the new bike I get :D
@supersnot4 Oh that's a pretty good price for that last one. Thanks for your help man.
Whats that helmet cam called that your using? Awesome quality
Yeah the bike I'm looking at has head light, tail light ,I don't think it has an electric start though ,So how hard it it to kick one of these bikes over ? ,Have you had to rebuild your bike yet? ,How often do you ride because when My yz 125 is running I ride everyday lol and I just don't want to have a bike that I have to rebuild all the time
Haha this may sound a bit weird butI just officially decided what bike I'm going to get just by watching this video ,I'm looking to get a bike that can be street legal so I could run to the store or to work,But at the same time I want to be able to do shit like this ,Hillclimbes ,Jumps,Wheelies etc... ,The problem is that I can't do none of that besides jumps and maybe a wheelie if I pop the clutch just right on my yz 125 ,And the way I ride I have been rebuilding every 4 months .
@supersnot4 Oh nice. How much did you pay for it?
Which exhaust and which steering damper ?
Hey dude, just wondering whether the wr400 is a good road bike? I want to get my bike license and this bike model is in my price range. Thanks dude!
+Regan Jong This particular bike is California street legal, and yes, it makes a good road bike, with a couple of modifications. The seat is an absolute must, as the stock seat is NOT comfortable in the slightest, and the gearing has to be changed if you plan on any freeway or extended highway riding. Also, a radiator fan (I use old computer fans, they work great!) is a must if you do a lot of stop and go.
Keep in mind these bikes have a stock AC electrical system, so to be legal in a lot of places (Blinkers, lights have to work for a certain period of time with the engine off, etc.) you have to convert it to DC and add a battery. The stator is pretty weak on the '98-'99 bikes, so I suggest either swapping in an LED headlight or a 2000 model year stator.
Other than that, these bikes handle on-road very well. Plenty of power for any type of riding as long as you have the right gearing and tires.
Thanks for the info! I was thinking about whether to get this bike or the cbr xD
+Regan Jong Wow, those are two completely different bikes! Around town you'd probably enjoy the Yamaha more, but ff you go on a lot of long stretches of road over 55mph and you'll probably wish you bought the CBR. Good luck!
So would this be the right bike for me haha?
@SuperSnot4 hahaha ya probly and ya i think you dont even need a paddle just go fast and your pretty much fine
I never ride paddles on my 06 yz250f and still whip peoples ass up it you just need to work on your starts a bit better and youll be good to go bro
i like the pistols lol
you got smoked!
