You should be always respectful and kind to your customers. They should apply this to anyone.
When I just graduated from college I went to a car dealer on a weekday evening to buy a new car, as I had a good paying job and could afford one. The problem was that I looked younger than my age and was very casually dressed in jeans and tee shirt. I walked around the showroom looking at the cars on display, and the salesmen were standing around together chatting, but made no effort to assist me. After about 15 minutes I went over to them and asked for assistance. They told me to come back on a Saturday. I walked out and into a competing dealer next door, where I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and treated as a valuable customer. Guess where I bought my new car.
That’s an easy guess! Their loss!!

The continuing saga of Chloe
The man shouldn't have lost business, deals, etc just because Chloe was rude. The manager handled Chloe's poor behavior in an appropriate manner. The man seemed like a great boss and worker. It's not the man's fault that Chloe was rude. The man didn't condone Chloe's poor behavior.
Some churches blame pastors for not managing their household well when they have rebellious kids. Some churches fire pastors when they have rebellious kids. When a pastor has rebellious kids, it's only the pastor's fault if the pastor isn't handling the rebellious behavior in an appropriate manner. If a teacher has a challenging class in regards to student behavior, it's only the teacher's fault if the teacher isn't handling the poor behavior in an appropriate manner.
Thorough background checks are helpful in preventing certain kinds of people from working in certain kinds of jobs, but sometimes corrupt people end up the passing the background check since background checks aren't 100% effective.
This video should have been done with more running time to show Chloe's angry father cutting off her credit cards! I felt really sorry for this gentleman who lost business because of how Chloe is a big jerk.

Professionalism was already lacking when the salesperson Chloe got off to her Dad on the phone, she was being snarky and rude to a customer who would come in later. Her boss was nearly begging her to be polite and respectful, she chided him for "repeating himself"!!! Customer was already age-shamed and judged from her appearance, Chloe was thinking she couldn't afford the clothing!!! This, here , was Edna, an elderly lady with such personal skills , the boss happened to hear the whole incident!!! Prepare yourself. Chloe, you are getting the boot!!! Daddy will cut your credit card off, pick your last paycheck and be more professional in the next job. Bye-bye!!!!

In the UK it's common practice that you can only take in one item at a time to the changing rooms and for you to leave a cash deposit for security. Chloe's behaviour was appalling and she deserved to be fired.
