My parents raised me in fear of everything. Now at 28 I’m just realizing this seriously needs to change! I’m missing out on too much. Loving your content
I hope people reading this you are well in mind and body. Health is wealth. I like to tell myself I refuse to let fear paralyze me. I think fear can be a normal and reasonable feeling at times some times more than others. However; I try not to let it paralyze me in not living my life the way I prefer and choose. I will share this quote "Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears." Les Brown
I watch a lot of TH-cam Nomads. They are out there exploring and walking trails all the time. No worries. I’m 80 and I said that a long time ago when I was barely out of my teens. I married at 17 and my mother-in-law was always cautioning me not to drive out of our small town to the next town alone etc etc. I never listened and said what you say. I said I won’t live in fear that makes me afraid to do anything.
You are amazing! ☺️ I wish I could chat with someone like you in my real life. You must have so much wisdom and many life lessons to share. Thank you for sharing 🙏❤️
I love yours Priscilla. Well done, Ma'am. I'll be 58 in 1 week. Pushing others set boundaries just always continuous for my current. But I will not be trapped. All love to you. Yours is just what I needed to hear, thank you. 💗✌️
I'm so exhausted by people projecting *useless* fear on to me. I live a life similar to yours... the good life :) Id love to hear more thoughts on how to ignore the people trying to talk us out of our visions, dreams and lifestyle.
When you do walk and talks I like to pretend I'm there with you. I even pause the video to respond and add to the conversation. It's fun man, please keep it up
As a solo hiker/backpacker, I get so many people with similar concerns. It's actually part of why I started my channel. The actual risks are SO much lower than what people imagine, and it's so easy to let fear hold us back from so many things in life.
I quit my job because my car is old and it would not make the trip anymore. My other car got totaled in December God has been speaking in a big way time for a career change. 🙏
I can't go to sleep because I'm watching your content, I'm 51 and tired of being around people that live in a comfort zone, I fear that! I never could conform or fit in & I am not any longer, this message is so liberating!
TIMMMMMM! You are so fuckin inspiring and only speak the truth. I'm about to start my nomadic journey in a month and I'm so nervous and scared but I've decided not to live in fear anymore because like you said, "What am I doing?!" My mom CONSTANTLY fear-mongers, watches the news and like you said is SO miserable. She thinks I'm crazy for leaving my life of "comfort" to start traveling and actually living but I'm excited! I've decided to limit the amount of time I talk to her along with other family and friends that just don't get it.
Family loves us but wants to guilt trip us into doing what they want us to do. (We don’t realize the impact that our family has on us) TV and Internet watching is a deterrent also. Go for it! So many people are depressed and unhappy in their lives and will grow old (or not) and leave this world with regret. Don’t let anyone rent space in your head or guilt trip you, especially family and friends. Go for it, do your nomad life and have fun! God bless 😊💕
@@sharon-qc3gn Thank you so much! This is so encouraging. I just feel like if I were to die today, I'd be so mad that I'm sitting at a desk job I hate and not doing what I truly want. So that keeps me grounded!

You are awesome, I've lived so much of my life with anxiety which is basically fear, and im so tired of feeling tied to this emotion..I enjoy watching you live your best life 🙌🙏🤩
AGE, I believe is the key factor. I’m 60. I’ve lost that drive to step outside my comfort zone because I just want to know I have decent place to come home to. If I start taking chances with new jobs that may physically or mentally cause me to quit them anyway, I jam myself up. I know you try to steer away from the money issue, but when you’re older, you worry about it more (especially if you’re living on a fixed income like SSDI). My heart wants a to move towards something else but not being in my 30s or 40s, even 50s, makes me withdraw back into my current shelter and close the door.
Did that. Left my occupation of 23 years. Bought an RV and live in it full time. Left people i love and those i care about because they were acting strangely and wanted to be controlled, not live. Got a simpler job, I walk to work. I work outside, and could die any given day. Will this job end after the contract? Will they re-sign me? Will i get hurt? I refuse to live following foolish "regulations", listening to CNN, doing a job that i either disagree with or hurts people. I've done the wrong thing for money a time or two - to care for those i love. I got anger and resentment in return. Now it's MY time. And I'm going to live FREE and WELL and leave their nonsense behind. They can follow, if they want..but they have to leave their stupid sh--y ideas behind, otherwise, I TURN THE KEY AND GO!
I use my intuition, common sense and do what I want to anyway. You’re absolutely right, what’s the point of experiencing a life as a human being if you let fear stop you from experiencing life as a human being. I had a vision of my ancestors telling me to “live your life without fear” it was one the most important messages of my life because it was life changing.
..what a wonderful time to be alive experiencing this life. Yesterday I was rowing a boat down the river and having a laugh and today I’m experiencing this amazing video watching you Tim hiking through the outdoors at the other side of the world. Amazing time to be alive! So much this world has to offer, it’s great to hear you speak and remind us all Tim 👍
I was just having this conversation earlier today. I told my dad about my plan to move out and live in a vehicle. He's worried that something's going to happen to me. To be honest, I've had some of those worries too, but the more I research into this and think about it, the less fearful I become. I said today that I would rather live an exciting next 5-10 years and get killed than live 50 more years and wonder "what if?" Also, from what I've seen and heard from nomads ,like you, it's not as dangerous as people think it is. Plus, everything I do in life has some risk and some of the best things (innovations, ideas, etc...) have come from people who took risks. My dad also is worried that I'll lose money and not have any when I'm older. For one, I plan on doing seasonal jobs and then traveling for a bit. Second, I'm doing this partially to save money. I can't afford an apartment or house. Having those would make me lose money. There are less expenses on the road than living in a house. I physically can't buy as much stuff because it wouldn't fit in my car, so I won't be buying as much. The other reason I want to do this is to get away from my family and challenge myself. It will be somewhat of a challenge and a learning curve to live without certain things. I'll probably have some things I initially struggle with. It'll help me grow though. I tend to use my family as a crutch. I'm less willing to try new things or meet new people with them around. I'm hoping that I'll meet more people and try new things if I'm away from them. I can always use video chat to talk with them if I want to. This might be something I try for a little while and then settle down. Maybe I'll love it and keep doing it. I saw a video of a guy who had been doing this for 40 years. I will probably settle down at some point because I want to learn more musical instruments and you can't fit things like a drum set in a car. I could bring a hand drum and/or a guitar, but nothing too bulky. In fact, I plan on bringing a guitar with me at least since I am a musician and don't want to go without that part of my life. I plan on getting a carbon fiber guitar, so it doesn't warp in extreme temperature/humidity. Who knows? Maybe, I can do some busking and make a little money from that or maybe it will just be for the enjoyment of myself and possibly the people I meet. I'm going to send my dad some videos of yours and from other people in this lifestyle. Maybe it will give him a better understanding of the lifestyle and make him worry a bit less.
You can get really small amps that sound great and loud now. Rent is breaking me down. I have to pay in order to help my family and myself however if I was alone I wouldn't be paying it I think. I'm also a musician and have many instruments, so it'll be hard to sale them ( I'm also looking into renting a storage unit so long as it isn't too expensive) but that's a maybe. I also believe some type of housing is a human right, not a luxury you have to pay for alot of money for.
Another tip I do, Is work out and apply for agency jobs, even tho they are horrible if you're physically fit and your able to count boxes and pallets quickly and efficiently you can have some stable income. Learning as many forklifts as you can is also a big plus since the amount of physical labor decreases. Also not having to pay rent also means you can leave the crap job if you want and not have the stress of not having money to pay for rent
@@aishac6790 Thanks! My dad thinks I'm crazy or lazy or not being responsible. I just want to live a life I'm happy with. Plus, I've wanted to travel since I was in high school, so at least a decade. I've lived in fear for most of my life. I still have quite a bit of fear of various things. It keeps me stuck and I'm tired of feeling stuck. I want to be free and challenge myself for once and explore new things. Hopefully, I can start this journey later this year and I don't back out at the last moment (which I've done before, but this is something I really want and have waited for, so I don't think I will back out, especially after arguing so much with my dad over it).
@@TimothyWardThat's a toughy...I too am happy more people are out enjoying nature but the overcrowding is sometimes detrimental and tbh often annoying 😝
Such a good video, speaking with a clear and clever mind. Understand that other people’s fears and concerns are not yours. For myself, as a woman occasionally travelling solo, I’ve had a lot of concerned advice given to me, to discourage me because it is dangerous for a woman these days to travel alone. I refuse to let this stop me and restrict me in my doings because I do not want to live in fear. My freedom is more valuable even if it comes with certain risks. And I understand things can be dangerous therefore I will prepare myself as best I can but I will not stop doing something out of fear. Now a healthy concern is fine, because we need to stay safe but it is always with an open door and not a closed one. You said well; we need to ask ourselves, if we cannot do a certain thing that we want to do, then why am I alive, why are we living. By the way, this type of videos of you walking and talking is great, as if walking with a friend. The surroundings are gorgeous, thank you for letting us enjoy the hike in your company.
fear and the way majority of us allow it to consume us is actually SO comical! you're right, bad things ARE going to happen lmao! best we can do is be courageous and move through life knowing we have the strength to make it through. "don't pray for easier lives, pray to be stronger men." life is a cosmic joke and we must learn to laugh.
Well said! I get a bit tired of people projecting their fears onto my life, but I also get frustrated when people tell me "You shouldn't be afraid." The thing is I acknowledge and sometimes express my fear solely because it helps me move past it. I love that you acknowledge that it is natural to have it, while also wholeheartedly recommending that we not let it stop us from doing what we feel called to do. Whether that's a creative or social activity that intimidates us or a career change or move across the country. Baby steps if needed. Thank you for the talk and the gorgeous scenery! I mean that hike alone is inspiring lol. You are a very wise man helping us all to rise a little higher. It's been a day with drama and sadness, but you made it a little brighter.
I agree with all you said. Also - those who refuse to live in fear can develop skills to manage challenging situations, emotions, etc. making them stronger than if they had shrunk back in fear, “Antifragility is beyond resilience or robustness. The resilient resists shocks and stays the same; the antifragile gets better.” ― Nassim Nicholas Taleb
You will have to check out Red Rocks Ampitheatre, I think it is a Natl? Park? It is a park but a natural ampitheatre that they have concerts and even rock bands.
Great share, Tim...and right on time. I've had these fearful thoughts trying to creep in my mind lately...shootings, food shortages, etc...all reasons why I "don't " watch the news. Good to know I'm not alone in acknowledging these fears and letting them pass while I revert my focus back to living my best life and being present. Keep being you!
The over abundance of safety can lead to mental illness! The preceived notion of feeling un-safe can weigh upon the mind to the point you are no longer free! Your own mind, mindset and the decisions coming from it can start to be a kind of 'prison.' Use discernment, good judgement and go forth... "To dare is to do, to fear is to fail."
Thank you 🙏🏿 for this confirmation of the way I have lived at age 75. I have been saying for years that I would rather take myself off the planet rather than live in fear. During the heightened fear of the plandemic, I have been refused entry to buses because I refuse to wear a mask. Also a PCR test declared that I had the highest level of covid. I refused to fear the narratives and never experienced any symptoms. Today I am awake and alive, without any form of medicines. I have learned from this experience that FEAR spells “false evidence appearing real” if I had believed the doomsayers, I would have missed the joy within. I will not be controlled by anyone or anything. There is a Power within each of us that we can tap into when false evidence appears real. Thank you 🙏🏿 Brother for sharing and caring.
I like your channel Tim, I can relate. I came out of my comfort zone, got a job and been fearful and been uncomfortable since, but it's okay, I guess. Life will end in a short while, so I better enjoy the journey how hard it is. Stay safe!
You remind me of Denzel Washington. Well spoken, patient, stoic seeming. Thank you for your videos. I’m watching this in a perfect timing in my life, and I’m grateful to have your message. Thank you brother 💜
I love this phrase, that courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is taking action despite the fear. Don't know if that's someone's quote or whatever, but yeah. When it comes to changing your life? Feel the fear. Be afraid. Do the thing anyway 😃
Well said, you have a well rounded perspective. We can’t do anything to prevent bad things that will inevitably happen. Accepting that is key to living a fuller life. When tragedy hits, what can we do? All we can do is hope and pray for those in pain, help where we can, change what we can, and focus on being a better person and helping improve someone else’s life. Even if it’s as small as saying positive word or a kind gesture. Or just living your life regardless of fears. As you said, it’s a domino effect. Aren’t we all one? I had been on a media fast, so I didn’t hear about the TX shooting until the day after from a friend. It’s horrible. But what will watching/reading news change? It’s a tumble dryer of the same sickening story. How does that heal? How does that give hope? Maybe we want to glean some understanding for an unfathomable act. Or maybe it’s a way we carry the burden of unimaginable pain. Maybe we are scrapping for information to protect ourselves. Nothing is wrong with any of this. But we have to step back and remember all of the things you mention: Inevitably we will suffer, we will die, we will encounter bad times. And so will our loved ones. But we will also have triumph and so many good times. Hone your healing and your growth, and that will help others too.
People just need to be more happy and appreciative of what they have. Like don’t even worry about the future, live in the present and make the most of those times.
I love cars and all the places they take us, but they often insulate us from the experience of travel… experiencing the land. I appreciate that you stopped to enjoy the country you’re driving through… great msg too! Not fearing and getting out there and experiencing!
Amen let’s take back the perspective on this planet one shift at a time. Little by little a little becomes a lot! And we can never underestimate the ripple effect.
I LOVED this message. The land around you is gorgeous. I was born in Aurora, Colorado☺️👍🏽. I'll be watching this video again tomorrow. It's inspiring....be blessed.
I needed this today..being in the military, I used to enjoy it, but it's become harder and harder to endure. I fear if I get out, I'll regret it for financial reasons as well as other things. it's just been one blow to another and you have no control of your life. I think my plan would be go air guard and then doing something I want which is environmental science and conservation, being in nature more like you do...either way like you said we will figure it out. I appreciate any advice. Thank you sir for the video!
Interesting note. One can watch a video or 10 videos. Just a video, yet when I click on @Timothy Ward, it is instant inspiration! The energy flows, is it the confidence? Why question it, just roll with it. Many thanks to you.
You’re so right! Before I left the US in 2020 I read a few articles other people’s bad experiences in other countries. But I wandered around alone for three years in Europe and Turkey and never felt afraid even once. Like you I was careful, but never afraid. Maybe because I trust myself and see that the more I know that everything is going to go well, the more it does! Adventure in new places is the best!
I think the important take away for me is the difference between bad things happening when you’re in pursuit of something you enjoy/care about v doing things you don’t enjoy AND bad things happening. A lot of my bad things are happening while I’m also just overall unhappy. I’m in pursuit of the things that I enjoy.
Bro what are the odds of this. Ive been watching your videos as I drove from the east coast to here in boulder. I’ve been staying here as of Monday listening to you daily and did this exact trail you’re on yesterday. I’m headed there now to read. Would love to meet you if you’re still in town.
I used to bring a knife with me when ever I took a walk because I encountered some weirdos but then I started telling myself the affirmation that I am safe and I am protected by the universe
Very inspiring Tim. We are so much more intelligent than we say or think we are, paraphrasing you here... so much of what happens is based on our projection and attitude.

Hopefully, I can start this journey later this year and I don't back out at the last moment (which I've done before, but this is something I really want and have waited for, so I don't think I will back out, especially after arguing so much with my dad over it).
Timmy my dude, walk and talks are the BEST.
Beautiful background. Sweet
Careful Tim...your inspiration may lead to overcrowded trails.
😂😂😂 I hope not, but then again I want more people to get out and explore nature lol
Love the nature walks Tim! Looks nice out there
I’m tired of anxiety running my life this message gives me hope and courage to get up and live more thanks Tim
True freedom right there
Riiiight. Now you got me. I don't live in fear anymore. At the last moment some help always comes and gets you outta there❤
Wow! Very wise words! Thank you 🙏
fear and the way majority of us allow it to consume us is actually SO comical! you're right, bad things ARE going to happen lmao! best we can do is be courageous and move through life knowing we have the strength to make it through.
You make much sense life is too short not to enjoy life 💜
I agree with all you said.
Also - those who refuse to live in fear can develop skills to manage challenging situations, emotions, etc. making them stronger than if they had shrunk back in fear,
“Antifragility is beyond resilience or robustness. The resilient resists shocks and stays the same; the antifragile gets better.”
― Nassim Nicholas Taleb
This is the attitude I need for all the future bad stuff that is going to happen to all of us
You will have to check out Red Rocks Ampitheatre, I think it is a Natl? Park? It is a park but a natural ampitheatre that they have concerts and even rock bands.
I’m ready to step away from my fearful family. I need to be free in order to grow!
Fun fact talking to yourself helps you not get attacked. Usually an animal will attack when u snuck up on it.
Cool. 😎
I was having a bad day then I found this video which is exactly what I needed to change my energy. Tim you are more then awesome. Thank you
Hope your day gets better Trey!
love u tim! keep doing u, u are inspiring many many people. listen to u everyday while door dashing
Thanks Ryan! You you too brother!
Hell yeah I refuse to live in fear
This is inspiring!
This video changed my life.
“I refuse to live in fear” wheew! That needs to be on a tshirt.
Beautiful message. No fear here
Thank you 🙏🏿 for this confirmation of the way I have lived at age 75.
Faith Over Fear!!!!
Thank you so much!!!!
Powerful Message.
I like your channel Tim, I can relate. I came out of my comfort zone, got a job and been fearful and been uncomfortable since, but it's okay, I guess. Life will end in a short while, so I better enjoy the journey how hard it is. Stay safe!
Exactly Azor! Stay blessed!
You remind me of Denzel Washington. Well spoken, patient, stoic seeming. Thank you for your videos. I’m watching this in a perfect timing in my life, and I’m grateful to have your message. Thank you brother 💜
Fear is a good thing it teaches u when to recognize a real threat from something that possess no threat.
I love this phrase, that courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is taking action despite the fear. Don't know if that's someone's quote or whatever, but yeah. When it comes to changing your life? Feel the fear. Be afraid. Do the thing anyway 😃
Needed this, thank you for the reminder. Love these videos.
The greatest risk (and tragedy) in life is to take no risks at all. (a risk to reach a positive outcome. No negativity. :) )
Thanks for the positivity and beautiful scenery! 👏🤩
Thanks
Thank you so much for the support Thomas!!!! I really appreciate the love!

Hats off to you in this message ⭐💜
In the matrix movie it is said that every unplugged person is a possible agent, they will fight to protect the system
That's why I love walking! There is definitely a different experience when you get out of your car and bond with Nature
Thanks Sharon! Yeah the scenery is amazing out here.
FEAR, Nothing.😇 God said walk it out ..🇧🇸⛵ Don't forget, Jesus walked and seen, run baby run.
I refuse to live in fear
I needed this today..being in the military, I used to enjoy it, but it's become harder and harder to endure. I fear if I get out, I'll regret it for financial reasons as well as other things. it's just been one blow to another and you have no control of your life. I think my plan would be go air guard and then doing something I want which is environmental science and conservation, being in nature more like you do...either way like you said we will figure it out. I appreciate any advice. Thank you sir for the video!
Good luck Shawn!
Love those mountains! Looks so peaceful 💚
Tim, you exhibit a very high level of self-awareness. Its refreshing to know such people exist in this copycat world. Sending well wishes your way.
Ward University! Let's go Wardrobe!
Good message. I wasn't fearful when i was younger but now fear bother me from time to time. I do stuff to get my mind off of it. 😊
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying them 👍🏾
I like that you love the outdoors peace and tranquility
Nothing more to say than, I love you. Keep doing your thing.
Thank you!
Interesting note. One can watch a video or 10 videos. Just a video, yet when I click on @Timothy Ward, it is instant inspiration! The energy flows, is it the confidence? Why question it, just roll with it. Many thanks to you.
Beautiful, meaningful words my good man.
I’m with you Mr. Timothy on this one🤚🏿👌🏿👍🏾. Don’t place your fears on me! Great message in this great video. Love the scenery 💕
Great message 👍 bro.
Love your vids brother
Thank you!
Thanks for the great perspective Crown Prince of Positivity.
yes most things we fear are not actually a reality...🦋🦅☺🔮🌱📿we must try and remember...
You go dude!!!
GOOD EVENING TIM AND EVERYBODY!!!!
This channel is next level totally love it
I think the important take away for me is the difference between bad things happening when you’re in pursuit of something you enjoy/care about v doing things you don’t enjoy AND bad things happening.
