Gates 40-80 is not part of a 'satellite concourse' at Hong Kong International Airport. These gates are all part of the main terminal of the airport. You are technically able to walk from security all the way to these gates albeit it will take a while, thus there is the APM. So, you did not actually transfer between two different concourses or terminals, you simply had to move around one large terminal.
I'm glad that you made it!! Airports are becoming huge, and security screening is becoming more stringent. The Hong Kong Airport is insanely huge, making transit passengers worrying 🌞🌞
Hi. That's a valid question. You need to buy a transfer ticket. One ticket lets you take trains that are operated by two different companies. Please be careful when you transfer trains. You must go through the designated transfer gate, or your transfer ticket will be void.
Jesus you are not serious right? There is a 24/7 transfer desk near your arrival gate and right next to the place you get down to the APM man... And also, how come an international airport would have only 1 transfer desk but still so called 'international airport' ??
Hey!! It seems that Immigration and transit process are centralised. That's why I had to move to the main terminal for validation of my ticket. I wanna also know if there are other ways to do it :)) 😉
I have have some questions about Hong Kong Airport can you please answer my questions What about the registered luggage? Should we pick them up or just going to gate for the next flight? Do I have to go security check before going to the boarding gate? How to connect the free Wi-Fi at Hong Kong Airport?
I hope I can give you correct answers. Your luggage will go to your connecting flight unless you have two separate bookings. To take a connecting flight, you must undergo a security check. Yes, WiFi should be available
Thank you for watching my video. Maybe, the official website of the airport can answer your question. www.hongkongairport.com/en/passenger-guide/transfer-transit/

Mine is 1:20 minutes to Manila, was it easy to navigate?
You should be fine. Please update me on how it goes.
