    iv always dropped the opposite hand to the ground, not the one your dropping, is this a bad habit I should fix or does it not make much of a diffrence

      I do think that's a bad habit. You want to drive the hand that's between your opponents legs to the ground for 2 reasons: 1. it forces your shoulder behind your opponents hamstring, 2. helps buckle your opponents knee

    Shouldn't your knee touch the ground between your opponent's legs?

      Hey Bosnian Beatdown, good question.
      Although hitting your knee between the opponent's legs is sometimes taught for the single leg, it's not the most common way of hitting the shot.
      And it's never done for the sweep single, because you're trying to get outside your opponents hips as fast as possible.
