고등학교 때 처음 김철수 유튜버님의 영상을 보면서 제 삶에 대해서도 스스로 질문을 던져보곤 했었는데, 덕분에 스물 넷 대학생이 된 지금은 드디어 가면을 쓰지 않고 제 모습으로 살고 있네요. 자취를 시작한지 얼마 되지 않아서 혼자 아침을 차려 먹는게 어색한 지금. 오늘도 학교 가기 전 혼자 아침을 차리다가 문득 김철수님 예전 영상이 떠오르더라구요. 그래서 가장 좋아했던 철수님의 영상을 라디오처럼 책상 한 켠에 켜두고, 간만에 외롭지 않게 아침을 챙겼습니다. 얼마 전 인스타그램 친한 친구 스토리에 이런 글을 올렸었습니다. "호모인 내가 호모가 아닌 척 살다가 너무 지쳐서 호모라고 말했더니, 지금은 그냥 내가 됐다." 별거 아닌 유치한 문장이지만, 저에게는 나름 몆 년 간의 고통과 투쟁 끝에 얻어낸 값진 문장입니다. 제가 비로소 제가 되기까지의 긴 여정에 힘을 보태 주셔서 감사합니다. 앞으로도 종종 생각나면 보러 올게요.

When I’m away from home, my cats manage themselves and go about their own routines. They lean against each other and nap, push the window open to head out to the rooftop yard for some sunbathing, or just watch the world outside… stuff like that. It’s pretty much the same when I’m with them. The most important thing is their meals, though-if they’re fed on time, nothing major happens. Haha.
