The problem with the music isn't that its inherently bad, it's that its improperly coded... Wily Wars had new music and most people will agree its not bad, there (finally) was a patch recently that makes it much easier to listen to Mega Man II

One fan game to look into is Quint's Revenge. Wily is angry with Quint's failure in GB Mega Man 2, Quint rebels. Quint has abilities similar to Mega Man but has different abilities such as ducking. In an NES style game, you fight the 8 robot masters and go through an NES style set of Wily stages. Videos are on TH-cam and it can be downloaded.
I personally like this game pretty much. It's somewhat a guilty pleasure for me, I think it's perfect when you have a short trip and you want to play a short, fun game from start to finish while you go home from your workplace, for example. :)
I actually found myself playing 2-5 a lot on my commute to get the hang of them before I recorded the footage for the reviews. I totally agree, for that, 2 is without a doubt the best! I probably sweared more than I should have playing 3 though haha... Cheers for watching Miguel!

This was my first Megaman game, and even if it loses when compared with other Game Boy entries, I like it. I think it's one of the best to begin to play Megaman and don't get frustrated by the difficulty. Also, I like its music.

Another excellent video mate. Though as much as I adore MegaMan I'm quite looking forward to seeing your Sagaia review, as its your reviews that sway what I buy and I have all the RockMan series already. Would also love to see your views on Warioland at some point.

It's my favourite Gameboy Title ;) The reason I've not done Sagaia yet is that it's going to require a lot of homework in terms of pattern memory etc. Trust me though, if you like Schmups, it's a bloody good game!

Wasn't Keiji Inafune co-creator, and not just "creator"? I heard that Akira Kitamura was the main creator, and Keiji Inafune only helped design him. Or was that not true?
It's my understanding that Kitamura came up with concept and Inafune did the physical 'character design'. It's one of those things with conflicting information on the internet in the history, some say it's Kitamura with Inafune refining, while others credit him with the sprite... Same storry for Protoman and Rush actually :/
I never had an NES as a kid (really sad) so Megaman 2 for the gameboy was my first Megaman experience. I have the greatest memories from this game and I remember I used to find it hard as a kid (although I played it again now on simulator and it is indeed pretty easy!). About the music I simply love it (since I am not biased by the original).
I'm kinda conflicted on the music! I find myself humming some of the themes from this game more than the others, but I can't get over know what they should sound like lol! And agreed, I always found this game hard as a kid, I guess it's just the wonders of getting older / more experienced at gaming :)! Cheers for watching!
Here’s my ranking of the mega man game boy games 1. Mega man V 2. Mega man II (I love every second of this game and I honestly don’t care what everyone thinks.) 3. Mega Man Wily’s revenge 4. Mega man IV 5. Mega Man III
They all kinda blur into one for me at this point haha! Same story as with the turtles! I remember this one being very easy compared to the first, but I think I like the later games on the GB more!
Glad to see other people that don't think this game is abysmal Yeah the game does seem a bit easy but I feel like they were reeling back from how stupid hard MM1 was. There were a bunch of spikes and pits throughout the levels, and the checkpoints were fucking brutal. Also this game did start the trend of the other robot masters actually having their own stages and levels that don't all resemble one another (that same underground platform hopping through cutman, fireman, and iceman) The only thing I have to say about it gameplay wise is that it feels a bit floatier (obviously due to screen size but this feels a smidge more than normal), and I'll mention how you just kinda slide up some ladders if you get hit while climbing. Also you can change the duty cycle of one of the sound channels by either firing your buster or jumping

This game needs a remake to show just how much potential was there especially with Quints story they just didn't do enough with him or the game

I love the music from this Mega Man 2 GB version , and from Rockman 1 for the famicom, I had those 2 games in my childhood :)
If only they didn't try to make a Game Gear soundfont on the Game Boy.
