How the hell did you make a story that made me feel more than most of the other stories I've spent the last ungodly amount of time reading from this style of story telling? Hey I know you said this was a one-shot but I have what I think is a great continuation of this story. My idea was that giyuu would wake up the next day not remembering last night like planned but(here comes my idea) since I the first story we learned giyuu had a naturally very good immune system, his immune system would naturally fight the toxin shinobu gave him to forget the night before. It would not just immediately give him his memory back but whenever he’s around shinobu he gets a headache and eventually goes to check it out at the butterfly estate but when he enters he sees the place he and shinobu sat at and it felt special, like it was something he wanted to remember but can’t, so he for reasons he doesn’t really know lays down there for a while. Shinobu later walks out of her estate and sees him there, she is of course confused and asked what he’s doing there. He says that he doesn’t really know but that it felt familiar and weirdly special, this makes shinobu panic thinking he’s getting his memory back so she again asks what he’s doing at the butterfly estate, he says he originally came here to ask if he can get his head checked up on since it has hurt quite a lot the latest week. shinobu sees this as a opportunity to check how her toxin is working on him, she asks him if she could get some blood to see if hes sick, giyuu doesn't see anything wrong with that since he doesn't know a lot about medicine, she checks his blood and to her dismay she sees that her toxin is getting fought back by his immune system. she panics and comes up with a plan, she takes some more of the toxin in a bottle and comes out saying that she has prescribed him some medicine and gives him the bottle and tells him to mix like a spoonful into some water every morning for the next week, he excepts and goes home. but if you want to make it extra dramaful then say in her panic she chose the wrong toxin cuz she was not careful enough and accidentally just gave him som dangerous poison instead. giyuu in bed in the morning wakes up with more then a headache he leans forward and coughs up a lot of blood, his crow sees this and fly as fast as he can to shinobu to tell her that she need to come and save giyuu. shinobu hurrys to giyuu as her crow goes to get the kakushi(i think that was there name) when she gets to giyuu she sees him laying in bed looking very pale and a pool of blood next to his bed, she is horrified and freezes for a second before trying to help giyuu, later at the butterfly estate, giyuu lays in bed as shinobu tries to figure out what happened so she can save him, his condition worsens and shinobu gets a theory, she tells her crow to fly to giyuu's house and see if she can find his medicine she gave him, her crow flys of and comes back later with the medicine and gives it to shinobu, shinobu looks at it in horror as she realises she gave him one of her deadly poisons as medicine. One she ran out of a cure for too. now you can either try to make this one sad to and have giyuu die because of shinobus carelessness and as giyuu lays on his death bed he could also start remembering that one night to make it extra sad or you could have her remake the cure in time and save him. And if you want to make some relationship drama you could say that mitsuri heard about giyuu's sickness and have her come visit him periodically because she feels bad for him and as they talk maybe they somewhat fall in love too (since giyuu doesn't remember that one night with shinobu) which of course will make shinobu angry and maybe confess everything. thats it, hope you see this.
