The peregrine falcon mating on the hat is a gyrfalcon. Female falcons are larger and more powerful then the males. Female means girl and male means boy.

We had three Pairegrin Falcons in Dayton Ohio. However I can't find out what happened to them. My cenical mind tells me that the City of Dayton got rid of them because we now have Bald Eagles. I researched if Falcon's and Bald Eagles get along. They are totally different in their behavior. Bald Eagles don't do well if the competition for food get is interfering with the Bald Eagles they will leave.
So I believe the City of Dayton made the decision to get ride of the Paregrain Falcons. The Bald Eagles and Pairegrin Falcons love to fish. And the City of Dayton don't cut the weeds dow to the rivers edge anymore. Possibly to cut down on human pressure. I love to fish 😕

The idea that bird eggs were fragile from DDT was created in a fictional book called "Silent Spring".

No, not an idea, a fact. DDT caused egg shells to thin & break.
