I have Tandy Leather's version of this, I bought it on Black Friday for $100 USD. I attached a handle to the roller handle and it's much easier to use. With that adjustment it's as good as the Deluxe splitter, just not as wide, but I only use it for knife sheaths and belts so no problem.
The thing is a piece of shit. Anything from Osborne is crap! Buy Owden tools, they're made in China but beats anything Osborne puts out. The crap Osborne puts out make Chinese crap look like 1st class quality.

Why does your no 86 splitter have such a huge casting sticking out the rear going nowhere? I think Osborne forgot to finish your machine all the way.
