I still remember one of my first games of Sins. I was falling back, hard, and built a...was it a frigate station(?) in the sector next to my homeplanet. It allowed me to regroup my decimated army and push back the enemy just as they were about to take me out. My spam of cheap ships won as the enemy wasn't able to supply new ships fast enough, especially after I sent my second fleet to the previous system from home to intercept them, and they weren't strong enough to punch through elsewhere. Man, it was such a great gaming moment.
Love the amount of work the modders put into the models, ship porn indeed. I also really like that they don't stick to one source, regardless what you think of Enterprise, Discovery or Kelvin timeline, all do have some nice ships fitting the timeline the mod is set in.

There is a miniscule amount of this mod based in Discovery. A few ship appearances that have been modified to flow more in line with the aesthetic established in TOS and ENT
For anyone curious, the Borg in the Enterprise series were only "scouts", and sent Earths co-ordinates to the Detla Quadrant (With an estimated 200 year sub space travel time). These Borg are not the Borg we know from TNG, even as far as saying they were under-developed by 200 years of assimilation, so a 'weaker' threat. It helps explain their obsession and drive to conquor Earth before say Vulcan, or Rommulus, Archer started the Borg - Human rivalry as a competetor for the Borgs power, by being able to be defeated, therefore showing assimilation to improve the Borg, as when Picard's memories and knowledge allowed the Borg to successfully incapacitate the 1-1-1 starfleet defence fleet. Gotta love the Borg, its not all just "PREPARE TO BE ASSIMILATED", they do target species by strength and history with the Borg.
Ah such a wonderful game of strategy, management, and combat I myself believe it to be an elegant game from a simpler whether it be from the Star Trek mod or the Star wars one though that is because it comprised about 25% of my TH-cam experience when I was younger, never the less it has been too long!

they are working on a mega update final version, two video's out now showing the massive balance and refining changes. look for them release around Christmas hopefully

I'm kind of a sucker for classic ships and oldschool star trek sound effects and style. This mod looks so cool and not as congested as armada 3 or at least from what I've seen from all of your play throughs. I would probably start with this mod if I got the game.
This looks SO awesome. I actually prefer SoaSE over Stellaris, though I like Stellaris, for just a daily enjoy & play. It is far less intricate compared to Stellaris. I've got to try this, thanks for displaying this mod.
So, this includes, ENT, TOS, the Kelvin timeline ships and Axanar now are the Kelvin timeline ships the ones from Axanar that have the TOS nacelles or the JJ Movie versions with the movie nacelles. They have the ship from Star Trek Beyond sooo... hmm. and i see the Discovery, but not the one from the show, the one from that first ship reveal trailer that everyone hated. Interesting mix of Ships either way.
I'm not sure if it is a good thing though... timeline is: 2063~214x - Protectorate Era. Earth is local power under Vulcan supervision. Major ships are: Conestoga/Discovery and Neptune/Emette. Enterprise is ship of Starliner class. 214x-2160 - NX/Enterprise Era. Humanity become quadrant power what lead to Romulan War. Major ships: Ganges refit of Emette, Franklin/Freedom (discarded early NX prototype), NV/Intrepid, NX/Columbia, NC/Sarajevo and early Dedalus. During war we see introduction of Poseidon refit of NX (multi-mision) and 400 meter Yorktown class battleships. 2161-2196 - Early Federation. Chaotic time of unification. At the time federation was composed from several fleets of various designs. Most larger ships of Starfleet were decommissioned after the war including all NX and experimental Ceres class was discontinued (one from TAS). Core fleet is composed from Ganges and Dedalus, with new lead starship in from of Warp 7 Bonaventure class. 2196~224x - Kelvin Era. People forget that everything before Kelvin incident in 2233 is possibly canon as we don't know shit about this era otherwise. Major ships are: Baton Rouge and Einstein/Kelvin (replacement or Dedalus), early Hermes and Saladin, Mayflower, Armstrong, Newton and Kobayashi Maru and Anton (early Miranda). End with introduction of Conies. 224x-2259 - Discovery Era - Golden Age of Federation. Introduction of Walker and Shepard class battleships in earlier periods. Later we see rapid expansion of Starfleet what trigger war with Klingons. Anton is refitted in Malahowsky class. 2260-227x - TOS Era - After Starfleet was decimated many old ships were restored into service (Ares as proper warship introduced as result of the war). Old Conies become again prime ship of Federation, as most were on secondary duties and still in decent shape (though it is possible that Pike's ship could be completely different class like Ahernar or Decutor, just they didn't switch his assignment from mothballed Conie during its test run). Even ancient Dedalus class get refit with "classic" long secondary hull variant. Some Conies are refitted in other variants. Some new designs like four nacelle Gemini or 580 meter Atlas battleship. 227x-2298 - TMP Era. Antiquated ships get proper modern refit into what we see in the movies. Lot of new designs are introduced. 2298-2364 - Lost Era. As name suggest we don't know much about it. It is mostly because it was period of peace after fall of Klingon Empire. Few know ships include Constellation, Cheyenne and Ambasador class. 2365- 2279 - TNG Era. TNG, DS9 and Voyager happen here so it was hot period. Lot of stuff. 2380-24xx - Picard Era. New stuff. We don't know much yet. Ships: Inquiry, Odyssey and Exeter. 24xx-25xx - Star Trek Online. Lot, lot, LOT stuff! 25xx-26xx - The future! Crazy stuff, Discovery season 3 (somewhere early), crazy temporal fleet (somewhere later).

I've been playing this mod off and on, it's still one of the greatest mods for this game.
I think they explained the Borg being in enterprise as being the remains of the sphere from star trek first contact.
I started watched back when you did your very first republic at war grand campaign
Whith all the time travel shanagins that happened through all of Trek Borg showing up in Enterprise is not a huge surprise.
