‘So it’s not real dog? ‘But I can hear it barking.’ That was funny
Absolutely brilliant 😂. Please please can we see more of Barry McClay & History's Greatest Mysteries! 😂😂😂
That CGI bus at the end deserves an oscar, my whole family was applauding.
Still here after 7 years ! Keep it up lads 👌👊
Why did this video remind me of last of the summer wine? Al wandering along with Norton (Compo) trailing behind head down hands in pockets! Thanks for making me laugh so hard I spilt my coffee ❤
AL is so on form its hysterical haha need to give this man his own history show😂😂😂
Best documentary I have ever seen, the host Barry Maggot was very well informed on the topic, I was on the edge of my seat as he recanted the tale. Also, the cinema photographer takes you on a journey through an age lost to time. Not sure who the blond guy was following them around maybe just some weird town folk. Highly recommend this quaint film, hope to see it at Sun Dance.
So funny guys you've got to make Al do more of these episodes 😅😅😅
it’s like a school trip gone tits up, absolute belter couldn’t stop laughing!🤣🤣
CREASING!! The intro alone is worth the like. keep it up lads
Now, This is how a history program should be.
I love this concept, hilarious and informative. Please make more of these.
Great narration Al. You guys should definitely do more of these. The type of music that was playing was perfect for this story to be told. Thanks for sharing guys, you guys crack me up. Take care and I'm looking forward to your next video.
The story about the poor dog was actually really sad 😭😭
@@dangleebals6746 It may be a fake story but something like it could've happened either sometime in the past or now, there are some pretty stupid people lol..
Just brilliant!! I love watching you guys but this is next level!!
Love you guy's and what you do always brings a smile
EXCELLENT. Well done Adorable Al.
History with a twist, loved it.
Nortons jealous of Adorable Al's famousness and adorableness, 100%
I'm trying to decide if this is the hardest I've cried laughing at any of the HOE videos, it's certainly up there. Another masterpiece. 🤣
At last, someone in this crew with actual knowledge on what they're speaking about, seeing Norton trying not to blow his fuse in the background made this even better! Viva la Al ❤
This is the greatest video in the history of the internet. Needs to be a full series
The funniest thing I have seen for ages. Al is almost Alan Partridge in this 😂
i'd love to see a grand designs type special where you make a studio out of a shipping container or large shed of some form. good work guys. keep it up
Every week you come up with another golden gem!
Care in the community day trip…
Can we have Al doing interviews with normal folk, an addition to the channel we all need. Maybe some more kurt Roberts.
My favourite time of the week is when hell on earth post another well planned, well informed educational video! Keep up the good work boy's 😂
Alex has come a long way since that first appearance at Camelot 😂
We need more Barry McClay video's, ive not laughed this hard in a while 😂
Barry, the man with many surnames
Absolutely amazing video. The bit with those random people almost made me choke on my lunch 😂
i'm obsessed with wolfhounds and have one of my own, i went there only because i was passing by and that is my favourite folk story but it was pouring down with rain when i went there so i got soaked but at least i got to see the 'grave'. I laughed a lot when watching this great video!
Awesome vid guys, Really enjoyed this one! Al was on form 😂
That was awesome, you're such a refreshing team ! I follow you guys from France and I love to see you uncover mysteries and strange places the way you do, with that "british humorous tone", always with kindness and complicity. Thaks for your work, love yall ;)
Good to see you back in Wales boyz. I can't help seeing an uncanny resemblance between Al and Llywelyn the Great. I can't post screenshots on here so i chucked it up on Patreon. Is Al storing the Egg dispenser i sent up his arse? 🤣😂🤣 Loving everything you do guyz funny as feck.
Awesome as always. Thanks guys!
also Lloydy your laughter nearly kills me when you start. your the type of person that if the laughter starts, no joke needs to be said but the back and forth laughter would kill us haha
You’re a gem Al! 🤩 Well done boys.. Nice view and history!!
More of this please, Barry captures the imagination of the audience in a way I have not seen since before Neil Oliver became Bob from Twin Peaks.
I think I laughed the most at this one Guys. Cheers! Your combination of messing about enjoying yourselves, and actual History is a win. I had heard this tale before, but I don't remember it being conveyed in such a dramatic and emotional way. And some nice photogenic shots and music too. Good job whoever does the editing. But! You're only making a rod for your back's if you keep upping your game like this. And only 187K Subs? Surely one of History's greatest mysteries is, why don't you have many, many more!
Like any addict, I’m finding I need more HoE, longer episodes to fulfill my weekly needs 😂😂🤣 at least 45 minutes. You guys make my Tuesday 😂😂😂😂 #TeamAl 🤘🏼
You fuckers crack me up 🤣 I’m going to go to this place, get the phone number off the dog tag ring it and tell them that you said to call it .
Norton: “ YOU’VE DONE FUCK ALL” 😂😂😂👍
I would of probably liked school if the teachers were like Alex, great history lesson lads...
👊😎🥃
You crack me up guys but you've improved no ends with your videos .😂
It's so hard to have this much fun with the same lads. Ya gotta love em
I knew it was gonna be a rough watch seeing Alberto in the thumbnail
I live only 10minutes from beddgelert so this was hilarious to watch. Love it when you boys do local videos as they are fun to watch and there is always good jokes. If ever i see you in my work then pints are on me lads.
Definitely more fun than Time Team!
Excellent format, more please 🙏😁👍
Al done really well, bless him i would watch him telling the story x
Have you heard of Plas Glynllifon in North Wales near caernarfon, Biggest abandoned mansion in UK.. I have a very good way of getting in..!
Absolutely brilliant!!!
This was pure class. You absolutely have to do one each! Best TH-cam channel I’ve ever seen that involves history, humour, caves, abandoned stuff, history, truth, lies, banter, abuse, sexual abuse, cottaging, friendship, forced friendship and fun laughter. Long term subscriber first time commenting naked. All the best
You guys are fecking awesome love the content ❤
Real time team vibes with this 😂 minus the history and archeology ❤
Oh fucking hell I laughed till I cried at the end 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Really loved the whole idea and Lloydy, you've got some truly stunning shots in this, location wise but also angle and approach too 😍 And that music at 9:30 was bloody wonderful too ❤ I love it when you do the unexpected on the channel and take a turn away from the usual things, you cover enough different aspects as it is, bloody brilliant and just the laugh I needed too, cheers guys ❤
The amount of times I've had to rewind bits in these videos 😂 fkin hilarious!👍
Fantastic video guys ⚓️🧲👍
EPIC guys, just EPIC‼️
I loved watching this video it was very entertaining, interesting and a cool new style!! You need to make some more on other topics and/or places!!
Thank for an interesting, enjoyable and fun time! Cheers lads!🍻🍺🥂🍺🥰❤️❤️❤️
Great bit of acting, Al xx 😂
MY tuesday fix is here.
Thanks guys, that was funny 🏴
Norton's like a child who's been made to turn off his playstation and get fresh air 😂
Top Job Chaps 🤘

I'd love to see more videos like this
Great job lads bloody brilliant
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. You guys are hilarious..
Al acting real zesty with that walk 😂
That was really fun 😊🙏🌹
5:03 Man, Norton looks so upset here!
I grew up in this area and was taught this story in school.....it made me sad.....then angry when i found out :)
Great job guys. Loved it and very funny.
WTF did I just watch?. Nothin like this on telly (even tho I don't have one). Keep it goin 😂
Absolutely hilarious guys , can’t wait for al to do another, great work guys 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That was different, but definitely HoE. A bit of a shame there was no gourmet food this week. I think I would very much like Barry Mudflap to do a whole episode on British dialects, you know, for educational purposes.
The silly northern humour is fantastic 😭😭 lol 😂
Been binging your videos since i came across them recently and this is the funniest one ive watched so far😂😂
Great to see you in my part of the world, I live about 6 miles from Dead Dog Town, a great made up story that has brought millions ro Beddgelert over the years.
Great video, you had me in stiches as always! 😂
When Al does his Scottish accent I thought he was gonna start doing The Crazy Scotsman Iron Bru bloke 😂
you guys need to make more of this as this is so good and so funny
Good morning to you all I happy to see you and hugs 🥰
How Belgrave in Leicester got it’s name!
Long ago before the race of giants had died out in Britain, one of their numbers lived in Leicestershire. His name was Bel and he lived four or five miles north of Leicester. Bel was a great boaster and claimed he could reach Leicester on his sorrel mare in three huge leaps.
His boast was challenged and Bel accepted a wager. He mounted his sorrel mare at a place now called Mountsorrel. His first leap took him high over Rothley and he landed at a spot now called Wanlip (one leap). His second mighty jump broke his harness and burst the heart of his gallant steed. His second leap took Bel to the place now called Birstall. Bel forced his mare to her feet and made her undertake one final effort. The horse and rider landed about a mile short of Leicester, but both were killed by their fall. They were buried together in one grave in a place now called Belgrave. There is a rhyme about the story that goes like:
Mountsorrel he mounted at
Rothley he rode by
Wanlip he leaped o’er
At Birstall he burst his gall
At Belgrave he was buried at.
The Villages of Mountsorrel, Rothley, Wanlip and Birstall form roughly a straight line between Loughborough and Leicester. Belgrave was once a village in its own right but now is part of the city of Leicester. So if Bel had made his wager today he would have won it as he did make it into Present day Leicester in three leaps, just as he boasted he would!!
I hope you make more videos i watched them all they are very funny and brilliant you lads are very cool
You 3 are now my favourite trio to watch on TH-cam 😂
you did well telling the story
Christ! This was brilliant! Knocked this one outta the park! We to see more from Barry!
welsh folklore is a very interesting rabbit hole
Al, is that new perfume? you seem different
this is one of the best videos I've seen on this channel :D
If Al ever does something like that in Plymouth then I'm just going to stand behind the camera and listen. Should be a good laugh. 😆
Love this ❤ absolute masterpiece 😍
Love It, Great At Explaining Al Rock On, AWESOME Always A Hoot
Love you guys. So entertaining to watch😅
Thanks gents, cried laughing, brilliant.
This is by far the funniest video you guys have put up in a long while go on the hippy mistery hunter
its like last of the summers wine , the early years
You know you're best friends when you laugh at them falling over instead of helping them up
We need more Barry and more mysterious tale please guys.
Great episode, laughed all the way through it. Al was on point.
That was hilarious!😂 Can always count on you guys for a good laugh!
We definitely need more Barry Montague Mystery episodes
We watched a few too many Tony Robinson documentaries before we made this. Bit of a different concept for the channel, thoughts and feedback always welcome. If you know of a mystery you think would interest Barry, get in touch.
Yes the mystery of why Al keeps hanging around outside mens toilets.
Brilliant documentary Barry wonderful camera interaction and storytelling. I loved the corresponding illustrations 😂 I've been to Bedd Gelert a few times and apart from the daft story it's a lovely place stunning, was the ice-cream parlour open? I have a place for you to investigate Cannock chase Staffordshire, home to Bigfoot, werewolf, UFO and black eyed children sightings allegedly shine your mighty investigative light on that Mcvitie 🤨
The Witch of Wookie Hole
The whole video should have been in the opening segment style. It wqa spot-on.
Barry might be interested in the legend of the chained oak near Alton Towers...
